I am wondering how to play DVD movies on my computer please? How ? Thank you and God Bless !!!!!

Try it and find it out... that's simple...

just insert a dvd in your drive, it should start automatically if there is a dvd player program inside your HDD like "Intervideo WinDVD Player" or something close like what I have in my laptop.

Yeah I did ..... My CD says that it is a DVD but under the DVD symbol it says Video ? I tried popping it in but nothing happened. I really want to watch some movies on my computer and pop in DVDs in to play. That is why I am asking here or I would have had no need to ask. Thank you .....

You need a DVD-ROM and a DVD player program like PowerDVD to play dvd's on your pc.

I have a DVD-ROM on my pc and I am able to watch DVD's.

If you do not have a DVD-ROM you can buy one and install it in your pc.

What model of your computer?

It is a very old computer E-max premier and I have no idea of the specs on it. I can't wait to get a new Dell.

You need to have a good video card as well. Try to get at least a 256mb video card to run your Dvd player.

Okay Thank you, I will remember that too. God Bless !!!!

SB_GB_4ever,

You don't need a 256 MB video card to run DVD movies. DVD movies will run just fine with a 16 MB Radeon video card. I've done it before on a old Mac that was a 1999 model.

Not true!

I use dvd in my laptop and it still run very smooth. So I download WMV HD from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/musicandvideo/hdvideo/contentshowcase.aspx

It's 1080p! It still run smooth. I send link to my friend and his computer run lag lag lag and freeze. His video card is 256MB. Video card do not MATTER for dvd player. Only for gamer. Why his computer run lag? Answer his processors is old and slower than mine.

My laptop is only 8mb video build-in and great processor. ;)

It's CPU (central processing unit). Not GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)

I agree. I have a very shitty video card (it is integrated), and I am still able to play my DVD's on my pc just fine.

Do you have a DVD or CD drive? If it's a CD drive, it will say... "CD" or "CD-R" or "CD-RW". If it's a DVD drive, it will say... "DVD" instead of "CD".

It says Compact Disc Re-Writeable Ultra Speed ? It is some kind of symbol on it with a plus on it beside the Ultra Speed + like this.

I am not sure what that is but I can pop in some DVD and it will play and some won't play on DVD ???? but for some CD's I can read things on it but can't copy anything on it.
