Is there a way to play DVD's on my computer?

Right .... Yes, read the book and follow the instructions as a hobby then become very skilled at fixing computers but I will need a certificate to open a real computer business.

I taked class for A++ certificate. I dont really learn anything. Just learn about SCSI and some network. Most I already so all students take one exam then take another 2nd exam for next month. I was too lazy to take 1st exam. So I make up to take TWO exams in ONE day and I passed them. I just study one night. All students and teacher were open mouth that I made it. Someone said how you did that?! I said it's easy for me.

I suggest you to buy HP or MAC kind of Computers or maybe DELL... DONT BUY GATEWAY because it's horrible, I used to have one of Gateway computer, it been BROKE down few times in less than a year because Gateway's Parts in Tower isn't good quality. My parents fed up and bought HP and it's running fine, but it does have A LITTLE problem that's all because of Virus, my parents are looking for Virus Blocker that will be match in HP's Tower then it will be fine for sure...

I wouldn't be caught dead with a Gateway. A few years ago I had a HP computer but it died on me and the repair shop gave me a free used Gateway, and oh my god, it was horrible! Thankfully I only had to wait a short time til my property tax refund came in the mail and I bought a new computer.

I don't use anti-virus programs. I don't need more crap in my computer than I really need, and I often backup my data on my pc so I just do a clean full reformat if I get a virus. Besides, I hated the way Norton would slow down my pc major time when it runs, so I got rid of it.

Don't be so sure about that! There are far so many distrobutors like Linspire, Red Hat, SuSE, etc. I doubt there's an open source DVD decoder for open source Linux...but nope...

You can Create a Windows CD for PCs That Don't Have One and restore Windows to a clean state with no pre-installed programs.

It's joke. ;)

Yeah. I already know about i386. I learn from that 3 years ago. It's pretty easy and very cool.

I still waiting for ur answer about AM2 and DDR2.

You said:
AM2.. DDR2 and DDR are almost same speed but DDR2 800 little faster than ddr400 because DDR2's CAS latency is very high as 4.0 and DDR's CAS latency is 2.0.
and then:

...and I didn't recognize your question. But if you want to know about AM2 you can read up in here:

Oh! I think I've done a search!!! While I'm reading Tom's Hardware Guide (THG)'s article about "AM2: AMD Reinvents Itself," Page 10 talks about the new kind of memory, SLI Memory, so I don't think today's DDR2 memory modules will work with a DDR2-supported motherboard with an AM2 socket. You can read it here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05/23/amd_reinvents_itself/page10.html

Also, Page 9 talks about CPU Divider. Socket 939 CPUs have a CPU divider of 200MHz while Socket AM2 CPUs have a divider of 400MHz. You can read it here.

@All, sorry to complicate you guys and sorry Heath for going off-topic. It's not my place to turn your topic about "watching a DVD in a computer" to topics about "very-technical fascinating" subjects about new generation of AM2 sockets for new AM2 CPUs and DDR2 memory. You can, at the time of my writing, get a current Socket 939 processor, Socket 939 motherboard, and a DDR1 memory. However I mentioned AM2 as for my recommendations and to help save your time on replacing your motherboard with a new AM2 Socket PCU. I've been kept up with the latest in technology since like around 1997, when my mom bought an IBM Aptiva L-Series computer.

Oh crap. You beat me by post but I already read some of them but 62 pages are too much.So I igonre some type of mobo and some.

Stop think negative about yourself. Nothing to wrong with that. You never know if lot people ask you for help with hardware, software, etc.. so make you feel smart.

It says Compact Disc Re-Writeable Ultra Speed ? It is some kind of symbol on it with a plus on it beside the Ultra Speed + like this.

I am not sure what that is but I can pop in some DVD and it will play and some won't play on DVD ???? but for some CD's I can read things on it but can't copy anything on it.
Ah, sounds like you have a CD drive... not a DVD drive. You'll have to have a DVD drive for DVDs. :)
