Interesting how the Internet can influence..

That's why I said it's not nice to hurt people cause they have feelings too....but some people don't give a damn!

I don't think this is an "influence" as it is that societies are able to communicate faster and over longer distances to come to agree on something like even a suicide pact.

Tis sad that people kill themselves, but again, that's society.

Suicide's not illegal in Japan is it - with the whole dishonor thing, and er, suicidal pilots? Might be a cultural thing? I have no idea.

Yeah, Dennis, I agree with you there. If anything else, the internet also helps bring forth positive aspects - marriages, friendship, etc etc :)

Granted, Liza but I was thinking that, because the behavior was so "out there" that people of like convictions or behaviors are so few and therefore wide-spread that they wouldn't be able to form clubs of appreciable sizes to perpetuate whatever the latest thing is....that the Internet makes something like this happening easier and real cheap.
:)

Very sad. Many people in today's world feel isolated and "disconnected" except thru their computers and text msg. Connecting with other people, even for a deadly reason, meets their need for human interaction. They would rather die "together" than live "alone". :(
