In Loving Memory of my Mother
Across the oceans
across the seas
You are the wind beneath our wings
Sister, Mom, Don-Don, Mee-Mee
A bestfriend you were to me.
The web of life sometimes tangled you up
You were strong-gently bold
Your kindness pour over into all our cups
The sun would shine and you would run and find it
Rain would fall and you would find a rainbow inside it
The wind blows, the birds descend
Beautiful blue eyes, beautiful gems
Across the oceans
Across the seas
You are the wind beneath all of our wings
A smile that glowed across the lands
A touch of your hand, okay in time
Don't count your grains of sand
BE STRONG, BE STRONG, I know you can.
Remember these words, keep them close to your heart
I can't take care of you now
You'll have to do that yourself
But if you're ever scared or need my help and your pain should start to
sting
Across the oceans
Across the seas
Just remember I will now be the wind beneath your wings.
This was created by my sister and I.. when my mother passed away in May. The preacher read the poem at the Funeral service and right after the poem was read.. the song came on.. The Wind Beneath our wings.. sure was a beautiful combination!
