I was born in early 80's and I remember how it was. I remember wearing those long socks with pink shorts and plain shirt with two ponytails. I liked the 80's because they had good cartoons and shows... I misses them! :( I don't remember much of clothes, but I liked 90's... although I live in Wisconsin and pretty much wore flannel, sweatshirts with blue jeans with some cute t shirts sometimes ha ha. I'm just getting into different styles... thanks to my friends :giggle: I miss the 80's... plus Thriller by Michael Jackson totally rocked! :)

Not to say that your information is wrong, because I don't have enough (or any) knowledge in this area. However, you gave an example of only 3 men, who were are obviously military men. There are 80 year olds today who run marathons and all sorts of things. If you write a book about 3 of them, what is to keep future generations from thinking all of our elderly are sprightly and energetic as well? I'm just saying, 3 examples from an entire population isn't enough to persuade me one way or the other.
Understandable. I have many more information about different people included certain societies who thrived on excellent diets but I have to restrain myself from posting more since it is offtopic... so I don't want to be offtopic any further in this topic than I have to.

The book I spoke of, The Prolongation of Life is a good start to find out more about 'ancient' elders who are able to do virtually anything that our modern young people (in healthy standard/level...) can do. This book is bit expensive, so you can check that book out from the library if they does offer in their shelves.

Edit: There are several books that cover about these ancient elders which I haven't read yet. Too many books; too little time....

anyone remember the rubik's cube in 80s? He-man and G.I. Joes too! Cabbage patch dolls a major sell-outs! Strawberry Shortcake and Teddy Ruxpin dolls are popular. Van Halens rocked the 80s.
