Just because you point out the irony of a situation does not mean you are advocating something....

For example, I've seen comics about wheat being harvested for the vegetarians and rabbits are being killed in the process. It just simply points out the irony of the situation, not that the author is saying in a subtle way "Vegetarians, you're killing rabbits, bastards!".

Ever heard of observational humor? Sometimes people point something out just for humor of it.

Seems you have to first have a sense of humor before being able to recognize that.:giggle: Irony is meant to be tongue in cheek observation. Just goes right over some heads, evidently.

It can be...as long as you have a sense of humor. In fact, when it gets over explained, it looses its impact.

It started out funny.....then we got into the over explanantion and the analysis. Didn't need to analyze it...just needed to read, laugh, and move on!

Yep, and the object of a political cartoon is to convey messages to the audience. I am just conveying my thoughts loudly on what that cartoon is saying. *shrugs*

I wasn't thinking. I just can't think on that high a level. I didn't even consider all those danged loans I'd have to pay back when I finished. Them big ole numbers just confuse the heck out of me!
