Lets say if you went in a time machine traveled back in time. What would you change in history?
5 events
1. Id save jesus from dying on that cross. How id do it. I capture jesus in his sleep drug him put him in my time machine go 2 hours ahead and drop him off in tehran. and in 30 minutes he will awake in tehran its a long walk back to jerusalem.

2.Id give all Thomas Edisons invention plans to benjamin franklin 30 years after he discoverd electricity and then he`ll build the first elecrtic power plant and electric lightbulb in 1782. Who knows what the 19th century would been like?

3. Then id give thomas edison, Guglielmo Marconi plans invention of the radio in 1865 then radio would be a very popular item to buy in 1880s Imagine you can hear all them baseball games. News storys,,Political election speeches. Plus Audio shows but no music yet cause the record player hasnt been invented yet.

4. Id kill hitler back in 1918 as a soldier and he will never been leader of germany and WWII would never taken place plus the A-Bomb would never been invented and isreal would never become a state.

5. Id tell bill haley when he was a teenager in 1946 all about that song Rock Around the clock and rock n roll would been born in the late 40s by killing all those glenn miller songs and a new generation of teens would been born. Who knows if rock n roll would been clean today instead of dirt that the rolling stones ruined.

I will go back to some ten thousands years ago when the archaic homind societies were male-dominated where I could teach the females the power and pride of feminism and override the oppression that lies ahead of them if they allow the males to contiune their "primitive" methods...

I wouldn't do anything. Changing the past will only change the present that might not be meant to be changed.

Jesus would see you coming and change his route so that you cannot alter his life. Even if you did succeed, that would be against your ethical belief... cuz he was meant to die anyway (for our sins).

If you did that, then Thomas Edison's invention would have never happened. Since they never happened, you never got the plans. Since you never got the plans, you never had anything to give to Benjamin Franklin.

Again, this is taking plans from the future and taking it to the past. Doing so will cause the plans to have never been created, therefore... cancelling itself out.

The A-bomb would have been invented, regardless of whether we had World War II or not. Going to war only boosted the process of creating the A-bomb.

Uh oh... since a new generation of teens has been born, you ceased to exist. Therefore, you never had the chance to go back. Now, you no longer exist. ;)

Good one. Count me in!
I'd teach people to not buy into bullshit, either...
Socrates and Plato did that, but they needed reinforcement. Like us.

Wrong mom still would had met dad. Mom would still met my dad after the korean war.

History has repeated itself over and over.

So I see no point in going back to change anything becasue it will still happen. Who, what, we and how we are these days is because of History so that is the way it goes.

But I would want to change how men viewed women back then because I firmly believe that this world would be a better place had women given their rights to assess long long before the beginning of women rights movement in 19th century.

Had women given equal rights way back then, we woudl have had less wars.

you know hearing world right now? I want it to be changed to Deaf world on everywhere and the hearing world is like our right now. That's all.

What I understand from reading some physics books and other things.. You cannot change the time itself... If you did, time will correct itself or restore back to its own path.

ravensteve (thanks to vampy for quotes), go and watch Simon Wells' The Time Machine. You probably will understand why you cannot change the time... no matter how many times you try, you cannot. Time will correct itself or reenact the 'time flux'. Also time is 'fixed' on its timeline so it is virtually impossible to change the history. If Jesus died on that time, he is to be dead period. Even if you save his life at that day, he will die by other events or in next day. Like I explained above.. Time is 'fixed' on its timeline.

Yep. I said that several times around here, AD.

I know... it may sound odd from a man like me but I completely agree with you.

they would have pushed your parents into different paths in life, the korean war perhaps wouldn't have existed, with different factors coming into the picture. perhaps your parent would have perished as a factor, who the hell knows. How can you be positive that your parents would have still met?

If I had the chance to go back in time, then I would bring video camera with massive equipment necessary to survive. Document key turning points in World. Present them to people and teach them how we should appreciate the things they are today, technology and everything!

Korean war had nothing to do with WWII. Korean war was russias way of trying to dominate the world with communism.

:gpost: ...She said everything what I was going to say, so therefore, there's no reason for me to repeat! ;)

This may not be as drastic, but what if Milan Conference never happened and everyone listened to Gallaudet, not AG Bell. Telephone was a failure. Bell wanted to invent something to help him communicate with his deaf mom and wife. It only made Deaf life harder.

If oral movement never happened, maybe Deaf education and culture better off.

I would go back to the early morning of September 11, 2001 and go to Logan Airport in Boston to warn the security about those Middle East men about to board on planes.

I'd go to Adam and Eve and slap em silly before they did anything stupid! :laugh2:

:gpost: I also agree with VamPryoX; We can't change the past, and since it is already true. One cannot undo what has happened. You correct about Jesus too He is due to die for our sins. :)
