turn on the history channel. The are showing a great show called Countdown to ground zero. It is an outstanding moment by moment recreaction of 9-11 and the attacks on the wtc. It is on for another 1 hour and 10 minutes.
 
The guy they just talked about Rick Riscorla, was responsible for saving several hundred people that day. He got them out and went back in for more. He died trying to save more people. I read a book about him. He was one of the Lt in the viet nam war that the movie once we were soliders was made from. He was in incredible solider, leader, and person. He went back in knowing he was going to die that morning. One thing you will never hear in any documentary is the fact that he had terminal prostate cancer. He knew he was gonna die anyway so he decided to die that morning in an effort to save as many as possible.
 
Damn it!! There is a storm blowing over and my satellite signal keeps going in and out.
 
Was it a regular documentary or a conspiracy documentary?
 
It is a real documentary. It is recreating survivors actions and observations. Its still on for another hour.
 
The guy that Riscorla called was also in the same battle once we were solider was based on.

True, things would have been handled differently. That was the day that the world had changed forever, its just unfortunate that some will not realize or admit it.
I like everyone else will never forget that day. I was on vacation camping. I was listening to Howard stern when he started talking about what was going on. I then turned it to a local news station. The local station helps with emergency announcements with the St.Louis Police deapartment. The ycalled every police officer in. We broke camp and me and 1o other officers did 90 mph all the way back. We had to evacuate every govt building including federal court house.
 
I haven't seen this show. Do you know whether or not it will be back on again? I'd like to watch it.
 
I have seen just about everything on Discovery and History Channel relating to 9/11 and it is always very sad to see everytime and I get angry sometimes thinking of that day. Hopefully we will not have another 9/11 type of attack or worse.
 
dang i missed it.. sure would love to see that.. i was watching movies.. oh well.. i will check in that and see if there will be another shows on history channel.. i love hisotry as its my fav channel :)
 
i saw other show.. Flight 175 the day world watch- tonite.. so sad.. anyone watched it?? i wonder??
 
I saw that! Soooo touching story. I also watch Camp for Children of 9-11. Man, those kids had tough life after 9-11 that killed their loved one...

I saw that show.. Very good show.
 
I remember 9/11 very well. I was at college. On Tuesdays I had a late class, so I usually slept in. I remember waking up, and having the roomies tell me that the world trade center had been attacked! I freaked out b/c my sister was in NYC. Her roomie worked in the Financial district, and actually SAW the towers collaspe!

Oh that's true............but I can't stand the view that pre-9/11 was some glorious utopian time of existance. There was tons of violence (including terrorism.......need I remind everyone of the Iran hostage sitution and those Libyan terrorists who blew up the Pan Am flight? ) pre- 9/11.
 
Terrorism has been an issue since the Israeli olimpins were killed. We (the US and our allies) have just had thier head in the sand until 9-11. I can talk about this stuff for days...... I will spare everyone.
