if I recall correctly - there was no mention of it online until it happened. nobody mentioned about it in AD either prior to rally.

Only when some disaster happens like the space shuttle breaking up in the sky. I use the internet to follow elections and stuff.

For some reason, I didn't follow Katrina for days because it was too much hassle to get captions on my Parents' tv and it wasn't till I read Newsweek that I began following Kathrina. I hadn't realized the magnitude of it at first. You can bet I watched as the events concerning Kathrina unfolded.

no way would i go to a beck rally. that is too religious . mix in the tea party and that Palin blowhard and it's is too extreme for my taste.

Yup, that what I was thought about same too.

I like go to rally that honoring our troopers without any kind of political, but Beck's rally is too political to my taste, despite about stated this rally as political-free.
