ID, one of the most infamous gaming companies well known for Doom, but also Wolfenstein, Hexen, Heretric, and of course, Quake.

ID works very closely with Raven software for another sequel in the Quake series.

Quake 4...will come to PC later this year. even the creators of Quake plans to release this game to the most powerful gaming console, the Xbox...much like they did with Doom 3.

The graphics looks VERY much like Doom 3, although it is very friggin' ass kickin' sweet!

They say that Quake 4 takes place after the ending of Quake 2...I definetely loved Quake 2 on PC.

Ooh... this looks good. I wouldn't mind getting this. However, I hope it's an actual game like 1 and 2 instead of 3 that's a multiplayer game.

Ooohhhh Quake 4!

I used to play MP Quake 2 online at a deaf-run server several years ago. Brings a lot of memorable times with Q2. Now this Quake 4 coming I guess time to brush up on multiplayer FPS skills for me!

I had Quake 3 : Revloution on PS2 but kind of turned out to be crappy than I expected...no offense but cool graphics and weapons...but the way the game was played was abit weak since it's not exactly some kind of a FPS adventure that I would most perfer to play. I alread sold it to Blockbuster for a different game lol...you know how those early discs for the Playstation 2 were like? yeah those blue-bottomed discs appear to make more noise when you load it in and play...I could even hear the machine hums loudly, but with silver bottomed discs, like most discs' bottoms are silver, runs just as smooth and nice as expected...but with blue-bottom discs, they actually sucks so I heard they could screw up your Playstation 2 if you keep using blue-bottom discs abit too often than silver-bottom discs so that's kind of why I sold it.
Perhas I could rather get Quake 3 on the Dreamcast version whenever I have time...

What's wrong with Quake III? I havent played it but heard it selled well during its release.
Also you heard of raven or Id making next Jedi Knight?

Yeah... Those graphic actually remind me of riddick exact graphic ever seen on xbox.. If you had played xbox riddick before.. you will be recognize Riddick's amazed graphic feature Those.. It made me realize that there nothing change between original xbox graphic and X360 graphic.. TRUST ME..

Quake and Riddick are alike graphics.. I bet that Quake would be best graphic, but I hope it would best gameplayer!! :D

Yea I've played Riddick although that game was kinda confusing but it was pretty cool and fun indeed...so about last year I heard Universal stuidos are already working on a sequel for Xbox 360. :P

The blue-bottom discs are CD-ROM discs and the silver-bottom discs are DVD-ROM discs. The developers could not fathom the power of the PS2 so they could only develop games that were huge enough to fit the capacity of a CD-ROM (650MB or so), later on after getting the improved version of the PS2's SDK (Software Developer Kit), the game developers could further understand the power so they could put all of the information on a DVD-ROM disc (4.7 GB per layer and most discs are usually double layered).

You should have checked the back of the game case, to find the icon that says "CD-ROM" or "DVD-ROM" then you will know what media it is.

As for Quake 4 being on the XBox 360, that's a good thing because I would not want a FPS game to hit the PS2/PS3 or GCN or GC:Rev. I believe FPS games should stick to the PC and not be transported to the consoles because the controller setting for the FPS sucks. Using a keyboard and a mouse to control your shooter is awesome and using the controller to control your shooter really sucks and using the XBox's controller to control a shooter, OMFG that gotta be fked up, seeing how bulky the controller is... For me, it's :sure: which is why I'm glad Quake 4 is going to be on the XBox 360, it will taint the XBox, and not the PS2/PS3 or GCN/GC:Rev. Eventually, Quake 4 or another FPS game will be on the PS2/PS3 or GCN/GC:Rev and I would not be happy but I shouldn't worry since I won't be playing that anyways. Like I said, I don't play FPS games on the consoles, only on PC and I prefer Unreal LOL!
