Well well .......most of their parents taught their deaf kid or kids 's lessons about experiences for their life like move on their own , they can do on their own without parents , become a successful with job or college.. etc.. like that! I guess that your mom didnt TEACHING you right thing! haha. so you need to go to deaf program for meeting and help you to improve about your being deaf and tryin to help you to gettin job in the future, etc..

TOF

RAVEN, guess what? it obviously your mother is UNFIT mother for you. WHY DONT YOU get your mother read this thread see how she have done to you.

IF mother dont like deafness or not being comfortable let deaf people on their own she can KISS MY ASS because I AM FULL DEAF and BEING ON MY OWN NOW... THANK GOD I move out this year before I got into 30's (that wont be until couple years to go)...

Its not that,, Mom is treating me like how any mother treats their son when he comes back from a war with no legs. I know a soldier in a wheelchair got his legs blown off in combat in korean war still lives with his parents and theyre in their 80s. My uncle is 65 never had a job when he came back from the war was depended by the goverment military assistance. Hes been in and out of VA hospitals.

Such a shame to see tooooo many nasty and insult posts in here ::: shaking my head :::....

Makes me wonder who sides the Mods are on for allowing this thread to continue...It just suprising to see how some of you member talk like that... :(

Folks, please dont judge his mother harshly. Most people are unprepared and uneducated when it comes to sudden loss of hearing.

His mother just needs education and resources. Nearly all of our parents were shocked and in denial when they first found out we were deaf, right? So please be nice to his mom.

Raven, I did suggest that you take your mother to a local SHHH or ALDA group meeting or a deaf center to meet other late deafened adults to help her realize that you CAN DO IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
