She asked me if I am interest buying her colt because she cannot take him though the winter or anything, but she is in the process of getting him gelded but still for the high price >untraining, still baby horse, etc.... She is thinking about sends his colt to Auction for meat if nobody buying him! :shock: In addition, she is planning to have her mare will be breeding again! :mad: I was so pissed off and hate her! I did insult email her! So far she did not reply to me!:pissed:

Sorry, I need to vent! I have two Mares and no way for me breeding them because limit budget and no time for more horses too! :(:(
 
OHh Phillips ya are indeed painted into a corner on this.. I hope ya can get this straightened out and if ya feel that is not the right situation, ya should speak your mind and say that ya have had some budget issues regarding working with horses and that the lady should understand why for sure...
 
That is upsetting. I did not even know we killed horses for meat in this country. And it sounds like emotional blackmail she is doing to you.

Her colt is Draft Sooo more $$$ for auction meat :( Than regular horse :squint:
 
WOW, how much does she want for the colt? That's horrible she wants to take him to be used as meat. I am a horse lover myself, I could never do that to any of my horses, if I was that desperate, I'd give him away free.
 
That is tough situation to be in where you do not like a situation and feel you have no control or influence on the outcome. I hope things do not end up this way and there is resolution.
 
This is upsetting. Unfair to the colt who didn't ask to be born and shipped off to action especially if his dam was gonna be bred again. Sheesh!

I'd buy the colt if I had the money. Really. What kind of draft? Clydesdale? Percheron?

Crossing fingers for a better fate for the colt.

It sounds like whoever that person is seeking for money. Due to slow economy, people are desperate for ways to make money. Auctioning horses for meat is one of the disturbing way to proceed especially colt ( a baby horse). And she plans to breed again, sounds like she wants to make money and sell off horses to whoever they please. I hope those owner makes the right decision to find a good home for the horse.. or talk to Animal Control officer and they can give suggestions for the owner.

This is quite sad and disturbing :(
