Hi everyone!

I had bad luck with my Sidekick LX and my 8 years old (Gateway) laptop. It broke down. What a fun! Grrrrr...

Last week, I ordered online myself a new laptop - Asus. (11.6 inch. 11 hours battery life with super hybrid engine.), which I just set up and it is working like a charm!!! I am happy with my new laptop. :D

I can take it with me everywhere.

Cool. I think you will love it for portability. My daughter gave me one, and when I remember to take it, it is wonderful! :lol:

Congrats!, whats model of 11.6 netbook? I just curious... I hope you enjoy with new adorable small notebook.. wink..

I still had one asus 10inch netbook. its very well sturdy and didnt have any problem nor shut it down...

No i dont think so asus netbook come with relay.. but need downloading it, its up to Sosie...

It was very nice of your daughter to give you one. One of the great things about laptops is that you can use them anywhere. You don't have to be tied down to your desk with cables anymore. I think it's wonderful!!!

No i dont think so asus netbook come with relay.. but need downloading it, its up to Sosie...

I planned to buy Asus 1201n Netbook which have Dual core N330 Atom 1.6ghz, Nvidia GeForce ION 9400m graphic chipset, 3GB DDR2 and have 12" LCD screen. It have built in webcam too. It cost around $500. It will be coming soon either this fall or winter. I planned to use that for travel/business purpose.

I played with Netbooks at several stores and it seem that 12" screen is the most comfortable. 10" are okay to me which I don't mind.

The built-in webcam is only 0.3 mp (not 1.3 mp as some other models are), so video quality not as great.

Right, 0.3 MP video quality is not good. Some newer netbooks which is N450 is 0.3 MP and Windows 7. AD'ers, please you read very carefully to get info on sp technical specs of netbook or notebook for webcam sensor before purchasing. Recommend 1.3 or 2.0 MP sensor. You may buy Logitech Notebook Pro (2.0 MP) if you have own netbook or notebook which include built-in 0.3 MP webcam.
 
Chevy57 - Which brand/model netbook do you recommend? Any N450 netbook WITH built in 1.3 mp webcam?
 
I am looking into buying a laptop/netbook. Haven't decided though
 
Do you know if Z520 is slower than N450? CNET says "... slower version of Intel's Atom CPU" so was wondering.

Yes, Z520 is slower. N450 is longer battery life than Z520 and N250
