I will try to be back playing with laptop in my bedroom soon or later ok.

Prince Charles' wife Camilla has hers done last Monday, so I gave you the link for you to find out more about this big operation.

Camilla cancels her engagements as she has a hysterectomy | the Daily Mail

The Duchess of Cornwall is to have a hysterectomy, it was announced last night.

Camilla will undergo surgery to remove part or all of her womb at the beginning of next month.

May I ask u why do u need to have it remove? I don't mean to be nosy but often I heard many stories from women around and most of them really does not need it to removed unless it is life threatening. I have a friend who done last year, honestly I do not see it need to be removed from her body because she went thru menopause. Her doctor encouraged her to removed it because she went to see him about her abonormal bleeding which it is normal for women who go thru menopause. I hope it works well for u and pray for u to get well faster. Take easy next 6 weeks.

Thank you everyone who post here, your support count alot to me, and it is only 4 more hours to go today, I start to bite my fingernails, and butterfly tummy, but glad its on today - after a 10 weeks on the waiting list!!

Ok, why not share with our health problem for us all to listen and learn.

I didn't think it is necessary until last year, my period is heavier than usual, and it is annoying to change the pad every hour, and last June I bought a nice dress for my friend's Prom Night, and my dress shown with my period on it and it is very embrassement. I cannot live with it, and my deaf friend was with me at Prom Night recommend me to visit Dr asap, which I did, and Dr examined me and said I must have it done otherwise I will suffer from anemia and my fibroid is thinner because of my age 44.

Everytime I have a period, I went to the toilet, and it is full of blood there, instead of urine - yellow - no, it is all red - eewww!! :eek3:

Sorry for my too much information to you.

Thank you, I was told by Obn that my operation will take inside. (hope so?)
Your brave too.

I think it is inherited as I recalled my late Mother had it done before but it took her 3 months to recovered, as I understand today technology is improved alot.

Good luck and hope everything goes well with you.

I'm sorry that I didn't read this thread until now.

Opal, I hope your surgery went well. I will pray that your recovery is speedy and complete.

wow, you deserved to have it done after hassle to keep change the pad every hour... I'm glad that your friend convinced you to see Dr asap.

I would do the same if any happened to me but I didn't have any problem yet...*knock on wood*...

Again, I thought of you and surgery... and hope everything goes smooth for you.

Public Health Insurance in Germany don't cover the cost for women who want to have it remove for no reasons or surgical sterilization because they often change their mind to have baby again years later... I doubt either Public Health Insurance cover the surgical sterilization cost due my age. (I will go to gyn. for check-up and then I will know more).

Hope your surgery was successful and you're now recovering without any complications. Soon you'll be back home, checking this thread out...and it may seem like a long time to recover, however, I do hope throughout this recovery period, that you'll take it easy, refrain from doing anything else that you're not suppose to do until you're cleared to do so...meanwhile, hope that your loved ones and friends will step up and be there for you, pamper you as well. Do take great super care! :)
