Yes they do.
why are you asking us? ask the Six Flags. they are the host. if they choose to be ignorant... we'll scream hypocrisy and discrimination with you.

I don't, I consider myself to be HoH.
Now another silly hypothetical question. How many capital D (deaf power) individuals have ever advocated for the rights of other individuals with disabilities? Or is it all about YOU?
Do you feel it is your "responsibility" to advocate for the rights of the blind? The rights of the crippled?
The rights of the HoH?
Because I most certainly have advocated for the rights of a deaf person to have an ASL interpreter ..... many .... many times.[/QUOTE]
I am happy that you do and there are many Deaf who would do the same if it was brought to their attention. I would be more than happy to but since I havent been around those who dont know sign language, I totally forgot what it is like not knowing sign language but not having equal access like hearing people. Sometimes people need a friendly reminder. If some Deaf people say "Too bad or screw you" ..fine, let them be but I know for a fact that not all Deaf people are not like that. I would hope not! My brother has been culturally Deaf all his life but he has never been like some of those Deaf who are against those who dont know sign language and I have met many liek him. Yes, I have met those who look down on those who dont know sign language.
Just like there are hearing people who look down on Deaf people and some hearing who dont.
Consider late deafened. They are not "oral deaf."
Consider those born with some hearing loss, they use the oral/aural route with their hearing aids. Even with cochlear implant. All of them fit under the hoh category. So, it's misleading to label deaf and hoh people as "oral deaf." I'd keep it neutral and call them either Deaf, deaf, or hard of hearing. No sense in throwing out that word "oral deaf." Makes no sense to even use that anyway.
The only instance that anybody advocated for each other is getting captioning on films, television and the internet. But I'm not seeing it here for Six Flags seeing the attitude of "not my problem," instead of nodding in agreement about communication accessibility for all deaf, Deaf, and hoh people at Six Flags for one day. One measley day.I don't, I consider myself to be HoH.

The impression I am getting from certain capital D deafies is that they do not care about other individuals and will not advocate for other individuals unless something is in it for them.
I think it is just you they were responding to. You have a habit of ticking people off by the way you word things. HOH/deaf need a better spokeperson.

I only refer Oral deaf for those who can't use ASL. But I do realize there are those who use SEE , cued speech, etc.
That is the problem I saw you address in your OP, then I saw you flamed for bringing the situation to everyone's attention.
Isn't that "screaming" for your rights as someone said you must do?![]()

Oral deaf implies the inability to communicate aurally. Applying "oral deaf" to all deaf/hh people is incorrect. Late deafened people do not even fit in that category in the first place.
I cant speak for HOH/deaf but if that's how you all feel, then you have my support!
Why not scream for his rights to Six Flags? I think they have a phone number on their website.
If he started out with asking for help in advocating instead of using negative words like "hypocrisy" then maybe the thread would have started off on a more positive note. Just my two cents.
There are a LOT of people who do not know who to scream to. Just help them.
