Hurricane Season Officially Begins Today !

I have been told that witchcraft African voodoo priests and priestesses have on occassion been able to send hurricanes and this has been doucemented where the NOAA ( US Gov't weather station ) said they were not supposed to get a hurricane that was not scheduled to hit and there was a doucementary film maker all the way on the African continent filming African voodoo witchcraft prayers and fastings to send a hurricane to the USA coast then the Africans gather around the television set outside and watch the t.v. news and chant to cheer which is sick. I will have to ask someone to send me the website link and it is a doucemented film which is for real.

That's a bit far-fetched for me, but okay. :ugh2:

Here is a link that you might like to look at to see the updates of the storm http://www.weather.com/maps/news/atlstorm1/stormtrack_large.html

Right now in where I am it is very cloudy with on and off rains. I am well away from the coastline so I am not too concerned about the storm but of course I am concerned for those who live on the west coastline. Hopefully they all are prepared in case Alberto decides to become more stronger.

Ahhh, thank you very much for supplying that link, and yes, hopefully it doesn't gather any more strength and intensity! As for you...better keep your butterfly net inside and hang on to your umbrella! ;) :D

Other than that, hoping that this won't become a hurricane and that all those along the west coast will be safe!

Last I heard, the storm was just under hurricane strength at 70mph. It could strengthen into a minimal hurricane before making landfall around the panhandle some time in the next 24 hrs. It's picking up speed, too.

Right now, rain bands are coming on shore soaking coastal areas. A hurricane warning is in effect for much of the western coast. That's it, as far as I know.

Thanks...and as for your area, is it dry or wet with winds picking up? Unless you're in an area out of the path of this storm?

why would Africa cursed USA? After all the money we send to them for aid.

If they are so mad at BUSH, then put voodoo curse in Washington DC, not Florida

I'm NOT in the storm's path. However, before Alberto became a named storm, he was sitting "at my backdoor", so to speak. He formed just to the south of us, and then, moved into the Gulf of Mexico. It was cloudy and rainy here much of the weekend, but nothing to "write home to Mom about." lol Just your basic lousy weekend.

This makes no sense.

Cold is better than HOT... because
if it is too cold you can control it by
wear extra sweater etc but if it is too HOT
you cannot control it because
you cannot take off your clothes
you are stuck being too hot

Oh, take off all your clothes,
It's hot in herre!

:wiggle: Sorry, couldn't resist! Kudos to Nelly for the jingle. May it lodge itself into your head and remain there forever!

Thats why I could not figure out why
people prefer too hot weather !

Keep in your mind that not everyone feels the same about cold and hot weather.
I prefer warm weather over cold weather.

I agree with you. I have health problems that makes being in the cold extremely hard on me. I prefer hot weather simply because it's easier on my body.

Yeah true everyone have different kind
of health issues depend on weather

I live in Texas.

I can take off my clothes in my house. :D

So being hot is not that bad.

Besides, We have two pools on the apartment property.

Yeah, that is one of the reasons I decided to move down here to Texas.

I noticed that when I lived in MN in the winter, I cannot stay warm very easily, even with heat at like 70 and sweaters and blankets, I almost always feel cold!!! I always had to have heat on at like 74 degrees or higher. Most people start sweating at that point.

In fact, I am SO sensitive to cold that I have my AC on VERY LOW...I keep it at 81 degree. It feels nice to me but to other people it is too hot for them. Go figure. *shrugs* But it does save me a chunk of money every month on my electric bill. :D

When it got too hot in Texas ( when I go visit TX ) then I would just strip down to be naked so I can sleep more cooler and not use the blanket, take the blanket off and roll it up then put under my feet on my ankles and then go right to sleep on my pillow while the night air flows in and out of my room, if there is no air conditioner then I do that but an air conditioner in the bedroom does really help to be able to get a good night's sleep.

Yeah but what if Air Conditioner broke
then I get stuck with the heat eek !

If it is very very cold outside, then
all I have to do is to add another
blanket etc

Blowing fan is not quite the same as Air Conditioner :)
