i still think she is responsible for her part to pay part of rent. to save up for wedding? thats luxury!! that is not bill. its full of crap! she could just go to court house like byrdie said as it does save money or just elope and pay 150 dollars for a fabulous romance getaway/wedding. simple?

i am sorry to hear about this but at least your parents sent you money so that is good news. i still think u should find another roommate cuz what if next time will happen again? she is still wrong. thats my opinion....

Now as for the bills. My suggestion is to get someone who is expert on budget to look over your bills and help you to keep track of your budget.

I am on that situation and my budget screw up since Dec but now I am getting back on my feet and just got a job. So I am feeling so much better and thanks for the help I got from this lady.

For the budget stick with it and keep it record in the book as I do that all the times. I learn that from my mom who always have a book to keep track of the budget and that really help also file the bills in the file cabinet in case you can look back or in need in case.

Can you move to a family member's home until you get out of debt?

The girlfriend need to butt out because it's between you and her guy since she's not paying or going to be there for August.

Really make a budget to help you make a goal to pay off your debt.

It's not really possible to move back to my parents home because of jobs and plus their place have rules....2 weeks stay, can't stay there. I don't want them to lose their home.

I work for shared Jorneys (work with develop disabled clients) and work for Enterprise rent a car.

i would say DON'T get a consolidation loan. You end up paying back way more than you owe. Then it becomes a viscious cycle where you end up trying to borrow more money to pay back borrowed money. Things are tough for you right now, but they will get better. Are you working two part time jobs?

Yes, I'm working 2 part time jobs (35 hours and other 10 hours or more), but thanks for the advice. What about credit counseling? Someone said that they make money from the creditors.

Also, one more thing....she bought a brand new 2008 Ford Focus, too! I don't see why get a brand new car before marriage. She had a old 1996 or 1997 Chevy Caliver that was falling apart, so she decided to get a brand new Ford (cough cough).

Yea, it makes me mad when she did that. I have a 2000 Honda Civic and I NEVER had a brand new car in my life.

that's interesting topic... but I understand why seq is having hard time to deal with roommates that's why I never want to deal with roommate til I move out and get married but right now eh... ecomony here in caifornia sucks.. but glad i stay wtih family for the moment.. but seq is right if u ever move back with family u wud have to deal with rules and curfew.. blah I hate rules but I always bend rules without getting caught
