Wow chlorine is very strong chemical. I am not sure if it will damage your plumber ? How about use the special plumber half bottle? Let it soak for overnight then turn hot water raise for about 15 second ? I did this before when the sink was blocked.

I used to clean two cat litter boxes. That was extremely disgusted because it was odor on the plastic boxes. I had to threw them away and put the plastic cover these boxes to prevent odor but the cats tend to straches and ripping the plastic bag. :|

I can't stand to smell cat litter boxes !! They are in the bathroom and hallway in the living room. We live in small apartment as we do not know where shall we put them. We have two cats now. It is very frustrated for us. I wish, I have a basement to put them away from here.

Hi Sabrina,
I m living with 4 cats, I have two cat litter i would alway do the changing every 3 days or 1 week depend how much they go bathroom.

I soak with baking soda, don't wash with dish soap or anything cuz its can hurt cats's sense. Don't put plastic bag it's waste your money to buy more and more, I just use it without plastic bag.

Also what kind cat litter are u using?

Yikes! you mean some people dont change their sheets for 2 or 3 months?? nasty!! I always change my sheets every week on Sundays! ahh! i love the smell of clean on my bed...

;) I tend to change sheets on the bed every 2 weeks...but if DH and I go away for at least a few days -- then it's extended to 3. But that's the most I can tolerate. ;)

Over summer, I tend to change sheets once a week because DH sweats heaps! Ugh...

I clean my cat liter box every day, because I can't stand the smell and beside it not good around children by having those horrible smell floating around my house :laugh2: ...

I keep my house clean everyday and we scrub and dust even clean the carpet every other weekend just to keep it shinning and dust free!

Thanks for the wonderful tips!

Good thread & also tip, too, Sabrina. I would like to share it with you here.

Well, did you know about Rainbow cleaning system? It’s produced of USA. I bought it at 10 years ago at Rainbow cleaning system party. I LOVE it.
See link: what I have the similar like this. (mine color brown but it’s 10 years old).

As you see that we do not need to buy any filter or bag for dust but just fill the water, then throw dirty water away after finish use.

I used vacuum for years & thought the carpet & bed mattress are clean enough until I own Rainbow cleaning & shock to see the inside of “clean” carpet & mattress is STILL dust/bugs as the dust in Rainbow cleaning’s water shown.

My hubby & I fill the fresh water in Rainbow cleaning to test on our bed mattress. We were shock that our bed mattress is not clean than we thought. We didn’t see bugs on that bed mattress but Rainbow cleaning CAN. We clean our bed mattresses once a month.

We own foam bed mattress. We would like to own waterbed mattress & pillow (fill part of foam or latex mattress, not full water bed) one day.

Rainbow cleaning is best advantage to clean bed mattresses, couch, car, wood floor, carpet, carpet shampoo, couch shampoo, aroma of fragrances to refreshing our house, to brush the dust away on any furniture.

I would say Rainbow cleaning system is a miracle, no more allergic etc.

I rid of carpet to wood floor at every room at few years ago because it save work hard to clean carpet since the kids are around. Wood floor is an easier clean than carpet. I can sweep the dust away easily as often as I can or Rainbow cleaning can do it when the kids dirt them or play the toys etc. (Special wooden floor with no scratch)

Subject about bed water mattress.

I learn a lot about advantage over waterbed mattress at Mother & Child Spa vacation last 6 years ago. They said that you do not need to re-new mattress every 5 or 10 years when you own water bed mattress. The waterbed mattress (fill foam/latex liner) can stay up to 100 years. It’s much better than full waterbed.

Waterbed has no bugs/flea because bugs don't like waterbeds. Interesting :eek2:

The water pillow with foam/latex is good for your neck to head.
The waterbed mattress with foam/latex is good for your body, also sleep well.
(NOT FULL WATERBED, but part with foam/latex).

We would like to buy one day but it's very expensive to own waterbed mattress with foam/latex liner.

We don’t have bleach here in Germany because there’re popular to own color bath, sink/toilet which it’s no good to use bleach on color sink eg. We use environment liquid to clean anything. We take care of toilet to clean every 2 days.

Yes, the cat's urine has a very strong odor and I couldn't take another wiff from that. Whew! We have two cats, too. Have to clean their "mess" every day otherwise the whole house will smell. Once a month we dump cat liter and use simple green stuff in the pan and let it sit for an hour. Waterhose in the pan outside and let it airdry or you can dry it yourself immediately. Then sprinkle around with cat deodorizer on the bottom of the pan and pour some cat liter in the pan and sprinkle again with cat deodorizer on top. Works great
!

Good tip, Katzie. I’ll try. We clean cat liter every 2 days with the window open to fresh air to rid of smelly. I saw it at pet shop but I’m not sure either it’s good for cat’s healthy or not. As what you describe sound good. I’ll try it.

I fresh pillow sheet, towels every week & blanket once a month. I do housework as often as I can when I see dirt or dust. My house should keep clean, healthy & also environment, too.

I have foam bed for 3 years now. Honestly, my hubby & I are not happy with it. It doesn't work because we have backache. We are thinking about buy water bed withfoam or latex liner what I add link at my last post.

We would not buy water bed with foam or latex liner yet until we are 100% sure. Maybe few years later.

Oh really? you guys dont like foam bed mattress? mmm interesting..guess we need to try out all kinds of bedding before buying, you know? I used to go shopping and lay down on the mattresses to check out their firmness, the salespeople giggle at me haha...I will try out the foam type and see what it is like..

I know what you mean. We did tried anything before buying. We also lay on the mattresses. We thought foam mattress is so super & different from normal bed mattresses when we tried it. We were influenced by buyer to buy them because my hubby has problem with his backache. :eek2: My hubby said that our old one is better than foam mattress. I got backache sometimes since we got foam mattress.

At first we were happy with it, then around 6 months later foam mattress is not longer firm as you tried for a first time, so we kept on re-fresh to comfort the foam mattress.

Guess what Lieblingdear?? On the consumer report it says that the Rainbow vacuum appear to be the worse (last) whereas Hoover appears to be number one on the list. Interesting huh? If that vacuum you have works for you, no worries and keep using it. As for me, I'm too scared to buy that kind you have because of $$$$ besides the phantom vacuum I have at home works wonderfully. Though thanks for sharing the links with us. :ily:

I heard something about Rainbow vacuum/hoover but mine is different.

It´s not Rainbow vacuum but Rainbow cleaning system. It´s difference between Rainbow vacuum & Rainbow cleaning system. You don´t have to buy bag & filter on it but fill the water.

Alot of Germans own Rainbow cleaning system. We all are very happy with it. I bought it at 10 years ago. I still have it & happy with it. :D

See link: what I have the similar like this.

I think that's the same one you're talking about... I wish I can give you the link, but you have to be a paid member to get that information. I'll copy and paste that specific paragraph. (Hope I won't get into trouble for this?)

(exact same picture as you provided the link)

"RECOMMENDATIONS & NOTES
Extremely high price not justified by performance. Among the worst on bare floors, and relatively noisy. Unusual design utilizes water to retain dust and dirt that's been picked up; that makes the machine very heavy (32 lbs.) when filled with water. Special features include the ability to pick up wet spills (not tested), an inflator for toys and a dusting brush for plants and animals. " -The Consumer Report

The price is $1,800  and the rating is "good"

Maybe your cleaning system works better 10 years ago than today? :dunno: Anyway, I just thought it was interesting especially when we're comparing notes. It's cool with me. :D

Maybe :dunno:

yeah, Rainbow cleaning system is not cheap.
I bought it for DM 3,300.00 (around $1,500). It´s expensive but worth.

I would love to read your link some day when you have time.

***scratch my back, arm, face & head while reading those link***

I visited website to find out about the comparison between bedbugs and house mites since the creator brought bedbugs bite in thread at other forum.

Interesting …It’s not just bedbugs but other fleas, too… I thought to myself that I would like to share those interesting link here with you all.
http://www.thesahara.net/bed_bug.htm

German’s website says:
The bugs and mites are living on humans.
Small part of bugs (rare) are not become an allergic but house mites (asthma, neuroderuitis, climate etc.)
Rid of bedbugs in the household helps little but chamber hunter.

We used cotton duvet cover & pillows with synthetic filling and fresh net & lace curtains every month because wash machine can do for me. (I have to add back powder to wash powder for lace & net curtain). We have polyester curtains for our bedrooms – of course wash machine do for me, also cotton or polyester toys, too to prevent house mites, bacteria, etc.

I do with cushions, pillows, duvet, etc. with Rainbow Cleaning Tip. See this link.

Rainbow Cleaning System

Rainbow Cleaning Tip
http://www.rainbowsystem.com/eng/tips.cfm

I vacuum with Rainbow cleaning system on bed mattresses and fresh bed sheets once a month, pillows every 2 weeks. The mattresses are mainly important to take care of… Fresh towels every week.

I rid of all carpets to wood laminate floor at 5 years ago. It’s not because of just mites and bugs but save work time to vacuum or shampoo the carpet since the kids are around. Wood floor is an easier clean than carpet. I can sweep the dust away easily as often as I can or Rainbow cleaning can do it when the kids dirt them or play the toys etc.(Laminate floor with no scratch)

I know it’s not 100% prefect to rid bugs/mites but I do my best to take care of my household what I can. You know that bugs/mites are not just bed but everywhere in rooms, walls, clothes, pets, carpet, etc. etc.
