Maybe somebody will call social security office and said, "Hey that is not
fair, how come that state give that person that much money and
this state don't, so and so and so...."

There isn't anything wrong with it.... One of my friends told me she makes $1400 a month on ssi and Im just cerious how in the world she did that... and thats why its part of the reason Im asking and Im also trying to come up with some money to get a ci but again I need to do one more thing is to sumbit a pa request for the ci...(to see if it works) But again I will have to come up with $15k for the surgerys etc. But damn someone is being a smart ass about it. Its perfectly fine!! :angel:

Good luck with what you are trying to do. And, please don't think that *I* was being a smart ass about what I was saying. I wasn't trying to be.

I do believe discussing one's financial matters is a bit personal for a public forum, but I can understand your reasons for it. Also, since these payments tend to be very varied, it would be better for you if you got your questions answered by someone truly "in the know" at SS. You did that, and I'm sure you're a bit more clear on things. :thumb:

As for the $1400/mo. I HIGHLY doubt that!!! That might be what she is allowed IN THE BANK , but I don't believe that's her INCOME per month. Can't be! Too much!!!! She's either mistaken or she's exaggerating, big time!

$1400 for people ( depend on how much they earned thru employment for many years only) who earn SSDI not SSI. SSA is lower than SSDI and SSI is lower than SSA.
 
I've read this entire thread, I can see some members are ticked off with the question being asked, like how much that they've get a month by Social Security Admin. It's a very personal question, so I cannot blame some of them for being upset. Should have made the question being asked in a different way, that's just my opinion.
 
Well Like I said while back I didn't mean any harm... And if they say it's "personal" then I get the picture... No need to be a smart ass about it and Im just trying to get things work out and get more info which I already have as you see my post above... I do know ppl do get offended by it but then need to get over it and just take a chill pill and I will totally understand...

The payments are not only vary from states to states but from each person's household incoming, that how they do it, it never the same amount as the others who live within the same state as you are....
 
In the state of California, the average SSI checks is $760 - $800 including the $$ paid from the the state. That is the full SSI paycheck as an independent. If you get SSI as a dependent, then you get less becuz whoever supports you (family, guardian, etc) also pay for your cost of living. There is 2 different amounts of SSI checks--independents and dependents. This info. is not related to my personal life cuz I have a job but I am ex-SSI. :)

No, this wasn't about you or others, there is a person who wasnt being nice about this... I do understand how others feels about this and have you noticed I ingore them and don't respond back, its because I know they said its personal and etc... and I didn't say you were a smart ass in the first place... I know everyone is honest... It's all good!!
