Your mostly right, but with exception, Blackberry and SK!!! THose two devices, Simcard is not interchangeable!!!! other phones yes can change no matter what.

you may be correct that I remmy that contract that when someone made agree under condition that pay the package plan and cannot be change different plan. I learned that my friend receive mobile phone and try use sidekick. The disspointment come up that cannot accord internet which it use different access for data.

So, you're struck on sidekick. :giggle:

Who?

For me? I rather to talk to dealer at T-Mobile instead of listen to you.

I'm taking on Sequoias's suggest about changing cell phones with same plan, also Dash offers same plan as SK3 does and find unlocked devices to use sim card.

Now, I'm not believe you, though.

If no change for me and ask me to pay terminate fee, that will be my real choice because I don't want under T-Mobile anymore and rather to get Windows based on QWERTY cell phones from Cingular, that even more than sidekick shit...

Changes to the Agreement or Charges.
except to the extent prohibited by law, if we: (a) increase the charges included in your monthly recurring access rate plan, or (b) modify a material term of our agreement with you and the modification would be materially adverse to you, we will notify you of the increase or modification and you can cancel that service without paying a cancellation fee (which is your only remedy) by following the cancellation instructions in the notice. if you do not cancel your service by following those instructions, or you otherwise accept the change, then you agree to the increase or modification, even if you paid for service in advance. if the notice does not say how long you have to cancel, then it is within 14 days after the date of the notice, unless a longer period is required by law. except to the extent prohibited by law, charges for products, services, optional services, or any other charges that are not included in your monthly recurring access rate plan (such as directory assistance, roaming, downloads, and third-party content) are subject to change at any time without notice, and if you continue to use those services, or you otherwise agree to the changes, then you agree to the new charges. visit our web site, retail locations, or call customer care for current charges.

hmm.. ok.

Now, I had learned my lesson for not order anything from T-Mobile and want cancel the 2 years contract, also I got SK3 in last August 2006.

News Flash!: All of the carriers (T-Mobile, At&T, Cingular, Sprint, Verizon, etc... ) do exactly the same thing. Either transfer lan to a different phone or pay $200. That's the only choices you have.

Or buy the phone without contract and get the plan added to it.

Reason for contract is so you can buy phone at cheaper price and I brought the 8525 off Ebay and have Cingular TAP plan added to it so I am not on any contract or stuck on it.

Next time be sure you are aware what your signing for and any time you see a low cheap price usally come with a contract.

It's not always the paint.

A lot of RIT buildings have the same problem due to heavy use of bricks. Some buildings use more bricks and cement in their walls than other buildings. Also, the more brick buildings around you, the less range you get.

My friends had that problem with their pagers. In Sol Heumann Hall (dorm), the pagers have 1 or 2 bars at the first floor. When they go to the 2nd or 3rd floor, it goes to 'X' unless by the window. When they go to the 4th floor, it's 1 bar... 5th floor, 2 bars... 6th floor, 3 bars... 7th floor and up, full range.

I lived on the 8th floor and had full range. My friend lived on the 2nd floor and had to leave his pager at the window to receive messages (or under his computer monitor).

Pagers use analog signal so it not very good in buildings and range are very limited to like mostly within city limits.

Sidekick uses tri-band towers which is pretty old now and outdated so it won't be very good indoor either however I heard newer SK3 is better and uses the Quad band which is better but I have not yet seen SK3 or try it.

Cingular 8525 or 8125 or Blackjack or E62 or Sprint PPC 6700 or Blackberry all use the newer EDGE / EDVO / 3G towers which is produces strong signal and can be used about anywhere.

I have a 8525 and it works great in Wal Mart or in Malls etc no problem and signal still strong.

I just don't understand why some of you guys unable to get signal inside Walmart.. I never had a problem when I'm shopping in SuperCenter Walmart.. It works perfectly fine without getting an X..

I bet that your area is covered by T-Mobile, that totally 100% or Wal-Mart is using different methods in their building to make network goes go here.

I have had no problems with using my SK3 at Walmart's in different states! Every Walmart I've been to, my SK3 worked just fine, signals and all.

Pacman - Were you able to switch a different one that you want without paying the terminate fee? We have not heard from you if sequoias's suggestion is correct.

I'm sorry, the prices are outrageous ridiclous for most cell phone users. Most cell phone users use it when they're not home. I don't think most of us need that. Those are great for businesses, though.
