Magatsu...why would you not debate it and why would you be worried about debating it. If you want to post 'factual' information, why not back it up. Would it be right for me to say 'John Kerry is a womanizing racist' and then not back up why I made such a statement. While debates can get a little heated at times, why would you see that as a bad thing? I have learned a lot from our debates, and even if I don't post about it, some of my opinions have changed because of information was brought to my attention that I wasn't previously aware of. Why would you post a statement and then run away from it if you are passionate about a particular subject?
Steve, you are right and I apologize for hijacking your thread. It is a two way street and I'd be curious to hear other responses why only republicans should be held accountable for their actions.
Why would one of your educators make a comment such as that. Is it now commonplace that professors make statements like this to their students? What exactly is he a professor of, if you don't mind me asking?I definitely have to remember one of my professor's statement: "It is always, always pointless to debate with conservatives or extremely right-republicans because they don't know what they are talking about in first place. Every time you are arguing with them, you lose a piece of your soul. Stay clear of them as often as you can. That is the rule of thumb." That's good advice.
The question is, Why is it ok to make republicans resign like democrats made trent lott to resign because his racial comments in strom thumonds birthday dinner speech, but its not ok for republicans to make senator harry reid withdraw his nomination because his racial remarks towards clarance thomas?.
