Ya asthma definitely sucks..i have 3 inhalers and i need to get a new medic bracelet now too esp for when im at work..the medic was taken aback at my hearing aids so im gonna get a bracelet that says asthmatic and deaf just in case i ever am unconcious. and the driver was actually a girl the guy stayed in the back with me to check my vitals and such and made sure my O2 levels were ok they put me on oxygen thru my nose that was different..

I have been to the hostipal several times:

*(long story but summarized) Motorcycle accident and was miscared by the hostipal when I was 4 years old. Have been at hostipal and home back and forth for about 5 to 6 months. After that, I have broken hip, two broken fingers, and 4 other different scars. It was also the most serious event in my life.

*When I was riding bike downhill, I fell and have big scratch on my knee and kept fainting so my mom took me to the hostipal to calm down me and taking care of my knee.

*Was in a room where I can't hurt someone or myself due to my moods swinging from the drugs when I was in high school.

*Hobo spider bite one of my finger and the hostipal can't do anything except suggesting me to make my finger to moist and tear the skin where the poison are at off. I did it and it was pain in the ass and some of white liquid leaking out.

It didnt require a hospital visit but in Malta on holiday when I was seven years old I got a severe ear infection and was so painful so I had to go to the local gp or somewhere and got medications and injections to treat it.

I've been hospitalized 9 times due to severe depression and mania. 6 of those times were for severe suicidal depression, 2 were for manic episodes (a symptom of my bipolar) and one for psychotic depression following a manic episode.

Getting a Medic Alert bracelet is an excellent idea. I have a Medic Alert bracelet myself. Mine says that I have bilateral cochlear implants, I'm deaf, blind and take medication.

Wow that's a lot of times, glad that you are doing allright right now.. At that time when I was in a room at hostipal was because I won't stop being so temper and being so targeting against my parents, it was through my crack addiction, but was recovery from it. Haven't went back to the crack since I was 16 years old which is 6 years ago.

Good for you! I'm glad you're doing better now! :D

I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder when I was 20 (1991), but my therapist and psychiatrist think I had bipolar disorder instead and that my symptoms became worse due to being unmedicated. I experienced my first manic/psychotic episode in 2006 which is when I was diagnosed with bipolar. The attending psychiatrist who oversaw my case at the time also thinks I've had bipolar for years and that my blindness and deafness masked (covered) my symptoms. I've been put on new medications over the past several months and am finally feeling better. :)

I've had ear surgery eight times during childhood.

I was admitted to hospital for pre-eclampsia and diabetes whilst pregnant with both of my first two children, I spent four weeks there with my first child, and two weeks with my second. During my third pregnancy I was really careful with my diet, and other diabetic treatment, and only spent six hours at the hospital, on the day my daughter was born.

Wow that is very long time for you to actually found out that you have bipolar, I am pretty sure it was hard time for you to be through. I am glad that you found out what's wrong with yourself. I am glad that you are happy and feeling better :)

Let's see ...

I had surgery at age 16 on my chin which was bending backward for some reason - they sawed and then wired my jaw to stick it straight and now it looks perfect :) My sister had the same thing, but neither of our parents had this problem .. go figure ..

From age 23 to 35 I've had endometrosis and had 5 laparascopies (outpatient surgeries) ...

So I've spent plenty of time in the OR .. unfortunately!

No accidents, broken bones or anything, though ..
