Hello everyone! I haven't been lurking long and thought I would join this sight. I am hard of hearing (severe, speech comprehension is difficult, especially in noisy situatons - I think I can definitely empathaize with a deaf POV ). Had normal hearing up until the teen years. I have a progressive loss that runs in my family. My father is completely deaf, as his brother (who has a CI). A few of my brothers are as well. Roughly half of my siblings have the same loss.
