Thanks for your links. It seems that I could donate blood in USA as thyroxine isn't on the list drugs would prevent that. I'll have to see if that's true Blood donations in the UK too.
I don't know about donating bone marrow though as it doesn't give a list of forbidden drugs for that.


That is, they literally can't squeeze enough out of my veins to fill up even 1/2 a pint bag. I have very small veins that don't want to give up the blood. Sometimes it takes hours (and many pokes) just to get enough for my blood tests. Ugh!
Aparantly they were supposed to have sent a letter to explain why but I've not read it yet. They are comming up with the most flimsy excuses ever like saying how would they communicate with me if I was feeling faint, they can't let me give blood because the information I have to read before hand is yet to be put into braille. Even after I'd told them I could read print with a CCTV and there is one at the public library which is only a few yards away but aparantly there is some stupid rule that says the information must be read with a nurse present. I was really upset as I have my own reasons to want to donate. I like to make myself useful and could do with the good karma.
