Has O.J. Simpson confessed murder to Oprah?

wow that is terrible on bad news film! wow that is serious
I am shocked!

his wive? ex wife

I reading on comments

So what? He can't be held accountable for the killings due to the double jeopardy rule. He was tried and aquitted, so anything he says now is meaningless.

I also think that reporting this just opens up old wounds. If he truly wanted to confess to this, he wouldn't have a "sit down" with Oprah. He'd do it with a proper authority. Personally, I think this is another attempt at torturing the victims of the crime (by him) and getting publicity for himself. He's a narcisisist through and through.

I'd also like to add that I also don't know if HE sought the interview or if Oprah. I found an article that says he won't confess just yet. The article also insinuates that Oprah wants to get him to confess to the murders and won't agree to an interview until he agrees to confess.

That reeks of narcissism on BOTH their parts. WHO IS OPRAH to think think that SHE is going to get this man to confess to something he was aquitted of? Simpson has nothing to lose by confessing, but, I still think it's one hell of a rating stunt by Oprah.

This makes me sick.

Bah...humbug!...."The Juice" back into the headlines...Maybe OJ and Vick will "team up"....wouldn't that be a "humdinger?"

From the way it sounds, the media is seeking HIM out. Personally, I think it's best to leave OJ alone. This just reeks of manipulation on the part of Oprah to me.

OJ doesn't want to be left alone. He's broke and lonely. He wants attention and a tv spot.

Well.....maybe he's took up singing/vocal and guitar lessons in prison....be on the lookout for his new CD....."I'm So Lonely I Could Cry".

.

Nah, Double Jeopardy is that you can't be tried with the same evidence. If a new evidence was introduced such as his confession he can be retried.

Before I knew what I was doing I took the knife away from Nicole and started slashing at her. I cut her over and over again until she was lifeless. I was shocked at my own anger - I had killed the woman I had loved for so long.."'

I dont believe him not for one minute. He went over to her place and murdered her. Her neck was slashed from ear to ear.He almost beheaded her. Maybe,I should invest my money in his rookie card.

no. Double Jeopardy is that you can't be retried for same charge. What you're talking about is more like - a mistrial.

if the prosecutor wanted to wait for new evidence to surface, he would have put this in a cold case file and then hope for best.

Not really. Allowing a repeat trial in that circumstance would lead to an incentive to hold back evidence, or lines of inquiry, for a retrial. That is why prosecutors must do it right the first time with all the evidence at their disposal.

Sixth Amendment.

Thank you, Jiro.

Oh, I don't mean to imply he'd turn down the offer of attention. He's a narcissist, so he most defintely would welcome it. But, the articles I read implied that SHE sought him out, which I believe given how badly she seems to want to get him to confess makes her just as narcissistic as he is. WHO IS SHE to be arrogant enough to think she's going to right this wrong?

He's a sick man, so any attention paid to him would only serve to torture the victims of the crime. As I said, given double jeopardy, he can't be tried for the crimes, so what good would this do.

I say leave him alone and let him rot. The best way to deal with a narcissist is to ignore them.

What type of murder was he charged with?

Could he be charged with a different type of murder charge, permitted by the State of California?
