Had you thinking about getting a BlackBerry?!

That sucks, man. How much do they charge using a blackberry with data and text plan without TAP? I bet at least $50 a month.

I am not sure... Start with data plan $35 plus extra $$ for text message for blackberry or PDA. Maybe require to have voice plan then $35 for data plan.

My suggest... go to AT&T Store or Call AT&T Customer Service. They will give you correct information.

My wife took AT&T Tilt. She got TAP for $30.

here's the off topic....

I live in north suburbs of Seattle :) You sure lived there for a really long time ago!

Sorry about the off topic.

Yeah, I know this is off topic. I am not sure where I find PM (Private Message) on this forum.

I seem that you live near Lynnwood or somewhere. I am very good familiar with Seattle (King County) and Tacoma. My ex-girlfriend lived in Tacoma. Only 5 block away from Ted Bundy's house.

I lived there for 5 years. I never forget what happen on May 18, 1980.

At att store, it don't require voice plan to add with data plan, even I don't have voice plan.

I only have $40 monthly plan with unlimited data and basic text.

not really... it starts at 35 dollars.. some friends who have BBdevices under ATT informed me their BB plans are various. from 40 to 45 dollars.

btw, BB 9000(with GSM 3G) releasing may delay til late summer.

FYI, 1) Sprintrelay.com is offering Blackberry Curve 8330 for $129.00!!!! Next Month FINALLY!! Unlimit internet, Unlimit Email, Unlimit Text and Phone As Modem!!! I changed my mind and go for Sprint LOL.

2) My wife just got BB 8830 world edition last month for $88. I had been playing with her BB and became familiarized LOL. She got GPS built in BB 8830 and it was waaay cool, I downloaded and installed Google Map and I LOVE Satellite view!! Coowwll!!

Catty

1) Oh there spirntrelay is offering BBC for 129.00 next month? where is link?? Like Dodge trucker's post #12.

Dodge trucker, why not you ask your friend or make a call sprint to see if they will offer curve for 129.00 next month. *good luck* :)

So anyway there is proving that AT&T currently offering the free refurbished BBC 8310-GPS with the certain linking!

2) Which one of carrier she using 8830? Verzionwireless or sprint?

Ooo.. you have weblog.
Yeah Mm.. why not? .. Have you problem with that?

My friends broughted SK1 SK2 SK3 and she threw it out, because of too many problems with the services also when out of state or town and SK doesn't work...

I heard Blackberry is the best!
Yeah, I was loyal to tmo sidekick for five years without problems. Somehow my fiancee made me swtich from sk to BB, Due She dislike her BB. she using my SK. I using BB for a year till now. anyway.. not all people who use sk which issues with lost range, poor coverage, lack of coverage in their location. depend on location where they live. yes I can see that sidekick is only tmobile carrier, no option like Blackberry carrying by AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, ALLTEL (sp), on and on you can option whichever of carrier is reliable their location where they live. :D

Sidekick has no any problem at all. it is great device for beginners, economics, teens..

But Blackberry is the powerful push-email and fastest loading browser.

There are rumors have been gave me in different directions that says 9000 will be in winter , other saying it will be in late fall. Now you post saying in late summer.

If you go to Sprint Relay and there where you get the info about the phone and plan. They do have data plan for 29.99 per month and no voice activation unless you want to make a call and charge you .20 per minutes. I have that plan and it really work well for me.

As for a new curve 8330 look in sprintrelay.com

.

My wife got it from Sprint through Sprintrelay.com .

Blackberry Curve 8330 have streaming video ready and it's camera can be a recordable videocam (must have MicroSD card installed for recording video)... Not on Curve 8320 nor 8310, I already researched through . Sprint offer streaming tv for BB Curve 8330 . BlackBerry® Curve™ | 2.0 Megapixel Camera with Flash and Zoom. That's something different. Also It have GPS ready (8330 and 8310).

I do not see my wife have it. Her 8830 OS version is 4.2. while the new Curve have OS 4.3 which allows streaming video.

My guess if she can upgrade her BB 8830 OS from Sprint to 4.3 or newer to allow streaming video for Sprint tv. It depend on if Sprint are offering upgrade. Technicians cannot do upgrade for customers. There are some website which have excellent information on how to upgrade BB.

Yes, they are rumor. I am not sure where I saw brief story that they will expect to release BB 9000 by this summer. They can't promise excatly date by summer or winter

I am waiting for iphone with 3G, LG Vu and Sumsung "clone iphone".

saw that on one of the website. Looks almost the same as BB Curve or 8800. But yes, rumor says that it's a touchscreen tho. True??

I got my BB 8320. I am fine with it. I don't need to get a new 9000. It's wasted money. I will get a new BB with new number in future not this year. I got my new bb last month ago. I love the BlackBerry than Sidekick!

Not always best.... Everyone has different opinion about BB.

For example, my friend never hear other brand like AT&T Tilt or Nokia E62 or Palm Treo or other brands. He think only two (Sidekick and Blackberry) great for deaf. He gave me hard time to discuss.

Your friend had problem with SK1 to SK3. Do not blame Sidekick. Maybe, your friend at wrong place like weak signal coverage at country. She has to understand about tech of signal zone. Voice and Data are not same zone.

WMSMapImageStreamer.jpg

Dark green area is best signal.
Grey area is poor signal or dead.

If, I use Blackberry or any brand at very country in Montana/North Dakato/South Dakato. No way to get any message or send.

Even, I am at heavy wood/forest park in New Jersey. Any smartphone still not work at all.

At work place inside building, my co-worker has Sprint Cell Phone is dead. He has to go outside from building. It work. Other co-worker has Verizon Cell Phone still good work inside the building.

Yes, Sidekick 1 to 2 so matter. They do not have 850mhz network. I know someone who own SK2 and poor signal. He switched from SK to Nokia and it get better signal under same network and location. Nokia have 850mhz. :)

Sk have problem with signal. I used to have one before. I am using blackberry curve now. It have no problem with signal. :) :cool2:

1) You can upgrade 8830 OS from sprint to different carrier with 4.3 if they have hardware similar. it would has no problem. for instance: VW Jetta 88-90's engine can integrate within VW Jetta or Golf 94-00.

2) Yes, Exactly!

saw that on one of the website. A) Looks almost the same as BB Curve or 8800. B) But yes, rumor says that it's a touchscreen tho. True??

Catty
A) I respect your opinion. :D anyway I look at it look like mixed of iphone design's shape, MotoQ & 8800's keyboard.

B) I don't think so it is touchscreen, however 9000 will has 3G for AT&T soon. Touchscreen will be 9100 series thats what I believed.

Pinky, Yes I wanted to stick 8320 for years till worn out. then I could upgrade it to new one. who knows. You never know if my talking is no good..

Lets wait and see. Heheh

Curve series is very excellent hardware and everything! NO REGRETS!

Blackberry do have 850mhz. That's explain everything.
Yes I do understand that. but Tmo Sidekick and Tmo Blackberry are separated servers. Can you explain?

1) Have you link about BB 9000 release by this summer?

They will not say excatly model #9000. Everyone call as series "9000" better than 9xxx or 9330 or 9930 or anything number.

Just rumor release date....

No word on a release date just yet, but an early 2008 release isn't too far off the mark.
blackberry 9000

will more likely be released around late May at best, and if not then June or possibly August
July BlackBerry 9000 release date might be moved to August - Gadgetell

You can do type in search "Blackberry 9000 release date". Let you research and your homework.

I hope you will enjoy to look more pictures of BB 9000
BlackBerry 9000 Photos! | CrackBerry.com

PS.. if, you type "BB 9000 release date" at google or yahoo's search box. They will confuse with "9000" for Blackberry 9000 or Saab 9000. One of my friend has/had SAAB 9000.
