I visited my dad and used his computer that have good security and protection. When I surfed alldeaf.com and saw warning window that there is hacker attempting to hack in my dad's. My dad said there is a mystery hacker from alldeaf who tried to hack me when I login in alldeaf. I was gulped and will buy security in my computer later.

Find a good anti spyware software and use it in a regular manner . I advise Ad-aware and spypot. in addition you may try a good anti virus software such as avast :)

What kind of security protection does your dad have if it is that good to catch hackers please? ;)

My dad has Norton SystemWorks 2006 included Internet Security. It did tell me that there was hacker attempt in my dad's computer and put block on hacker's

Are you sure your dad is right? What makes him think it's AllDeaf?

It's probably just AllDeaf accessing your coookies that you have enabled for AllDeaf. :dunno:

i was thinking the same thing.. prolly just cookie .. hmm i dont know..

Thats why I got these~

Firewall
Avast
Ad-Aware
Dis-Clean up
Spyware

On both of my computers!!

Its better to have these proctections for your computer to keep it from crashing.. My old one crashed since we didn't have them on the other computers and had to get another one last year... Thank goodness I have a good friend who programs computers and cleans up the computers... He program everything on the computer for free... Which would cost about $75 for everything... Which isn't too bad but thankful I got it free... I know you can download them off from the computer but he program other stuff on here to protect the computers.. I dunno what it's called but I will ask... To make sure... Its good to have your computer dumped once in a while to refresh the computer.....

Hope things work out for you on your computer!! :)

Free to every all deafers!! Take one

You can't blame a virus on a site like Alldeaf...... if you got a virus from this site, it would have to be from opening a file someone sent to you, or from a link to somewhere else..... either way, just like with email, you should never open a file you don't know about. Otherwise the only person to blame for the virus is yourself.

This is in no way meant to seem against you Tweetybird, but instead is to state that your friend blames Alldeaf for a virus that isn't the website's fault. He probly didn't even get it from a link or PM thru this site.

I don't know how somebody can get a virus simply from visiting a bulletin board. The only thing I can think of that would cause a virus download is if they clicked on an unsafe link that somebody had posted.

I do know that some anti-virus programs treat cookies as if they were viruses so that could be the case (as was already mentioned).

well i didnt say blame on alldeaf... i say my friend put the computer in shop and they cleaned it out.. they found it from alldeaf, they showed my friend the link with alldeaf got virus.. end of discuss.. ok thanks

That "warning" is just an ad for security software. Nothing to do with actual hacking.
