I carry a Colt 40 S&W cal. 180 Grain JHP. Also a 410. buckshot Derringer. They are my personal weapons. I legally carry concealed weapons... :thumb: oooops Reba beat me to it.... sorry

Cool.. I would like to purchase one especially
with the laser pointer if possible... the one you own is
probably worth between one or two thousand dollars
Right ? :)

you got a good idea there, deaf258... about tasers. dont stop posting your opinions... you're pretty powerful yourself!

y'see, i dont think its a good idea for teachers to be carrying guns... because someone could steal the gun and go on a rampage... remember the news about someone having stolen the baliff's gun in a courthouse, and going on a rampage? are there other alternatives? i can think of tasers... it can immoblize the perps real fast, i bet. this is a sad day and age when we might have to train the teachers to defend themselves and other students...

It depends on how much the local dealer adds to the markup. One of my local dealers has some on sale for the month of March. $292.99 for the 1911.

NRA also has a special for members only. 1911 Compact is $296 plus $10 shipping.

My Colt cost $659.00. had mods done for both safties to be wider. Also wider release lever. the mods cast $152.00 for Parts & Gunsmithing. I don't use a lazer grip....
Practice makes perfect. I look at it like this. Under most self defence conditions. Your attacker is less then 20 feet away. In that distance. You should be able to Identify Target Fire & Hit the Mark. When I practice I only use 2 bullets. Trying to make 2 kill shots with in 3 seconds from draw. If you have not successfully hit your mark. Most likely you have been shot. Remember always practice as if it were the real thing. The attacker is trying to kill you. Not scare you or just give you a liltle nick. It's is the attacker or you... Bulleye's don't shoot back. :thumb:

Glad they have laser pointer which
does help a lot. It's so important to
get defense training/practice.

I wonder where is
a best place to hide it at home ?
Don't tell me if you feel that's too private.
Thats Ok I'd understand.

My guns are in secert compartments that I made myself. They are in places considered for Access & Safety. I have a Son to think of. So I took every variable in to consideration. Plan well. Safety is very important.
If you have children. Get the Eddie Eagle program from the NRA...There are slim gun safes you can hide under you bed. :thumb:
