I hate to brag but MN is swing state. John Edwards decide to come to MN and I was surpised that Josh Hartnett (actor in Pearl Harbor) is supporting Kerry-Edwards ticket. I also met Walter Mondale again... I was volunteering 6 am til around 9 30 am!!! didn't get enuff of sleep, altough I had to work "2 shifts" today ( senate was having forum).. I am so exhausted. I got Josh's autograph.... first time met a actor!!!! I got some pics on SK2 but theyre not too good as digital camera but I tried my best.... I'll have to post pics sometimes... I also took pics on regular camera too, need to delevop it first anyways....

Cheri. I saw it 2 years ago at theater. Thats when i heard and saw the movie. Its mostly a love story not much about war. Gosh i dont like romance in the movies when its supposed to be about american history. Can you picture if the make a love story about the american revolution? :barf:

Yeah, I know who that is now. You are so lucky Rachel very lucky! ;)

I agree. That is why I prefer the History Channel to fictional movies.

I also like the b&w movies that were made during WWII. They have some romance in them, but not too bad. I mostly like the movies of that era because they show the real attitudes about war and the enemy that people were feeling at that time. No political correctness restraints then. Of course there was some patriotic slanting in them, but even that showed what people were thinking, and how they were feeling during that time. Unfortunately, many are not captioned. :(

Other good b&w movies that show good historic stories are the original "Sgt. York" (true story about WWI), and "Potemkin" (Russian silent film classic; uses English subtitles) and "A Tale of Two Cities" (fictional, but in a historical setting, the French Revolution).

"Sgt. York" shows the moral struggles of a Christian pacifist during the war.

Even if the pictures are not perfect, if you can print them I am sure that they will make a nice scrapbook with your autographed badge. That will be a cool keepsake to show your future children and grandchildren. :)

Wow...looks like you had a good time there...sure hope Kerry wins the election as president! :fingersx:
