Ok, I know Halloween is around the corner, but I want to ask you all, what are your guess where in U.S. did Halloween was orginally started? If anyone have right answer, then yeah! That place is still halloween capital of world today.

I really do not know but, My Dad told me Modern day Halloween did not get started until around 1920. Anoka, Minnesota, held the very first yearly city-wide Halloween celebration in 1921 with two parades, a Pumpkin Bowl and a huge costumed square dance. In 1922 Allentown, Pennsylvania followed suit, with New York City joining in, in 1923...If that is true, then I guess it is.

YES YES !!!! you are right.. for more info go to http://www.ci.anoka.mn.us/halloween/

No wonder why MN are pioneer at so many things such as water skis, rollerblade, post it paper etc...... My guess that MN always have smart people who invent stuff even halloween.

Yay! I won! Now where my prize? is it included for answering the right answer? :aw:

which www site? I looked on google, couldn't find it, can you tell me which www site?

I used Google search engine. "Halloween Capital of World" are the words I typed. The results came with Anoka as the Halloween Capital of World.

Or, you could copy Cheri's quote and paste in Google, you'll get all the results... :)

Halloween is a Pagan holiday, did anybody know that?

It's also a conspiracy to sell Hallmark cards. ;) Ah, it's just an opportunity to have fun. Kids love it. Parents like dipping into the candy stash while they're at school. Halloween comes and goes before you realize it was even there in the first place. Everyone wins.
