Boston school for the deaf? or Beverly School for the deaf too :dunno2:
 
a real winner this guy was too.........as principal of this school (here is what i copy and pasted)Gerrit Van Asch, who agreed with the Milan congress of deaf educators of 1880 (to which no Deaf people were invited) that teaching should be oral only, and that sign language should be forbidden. (He would not even admit pupils who could sign, so only 14 were admitted.) This was the policy of the school until 1979.

You got it right with the city too and footballnut got the name of the school right too. Well done for researching on him. Yeah thank god i never went to that school even though i was oral but my parents forbid me going there for some reasons.
