Grumble...Grumble... Dieting? Have Fun Venting!

Im on Jenny Craig and lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks!! this is my third week and will weigh in this Monday...its simple, all you have to excerise and water, water, water, and follow Jenny Craig plan. my goal is to lose weight 25 lbs before July for my family reunion for the cruise! i wanna look good for the cruise and hot guys!! even though i have a boyfriend but he totally understands hahah anyway when i first joined jenny craig 2 years ago, I lost 35 lbs within 2 1/2 months! then gained back during my senior year in college so ever since, i also tried to join Weight Watchers but for some reason, its hard so hard for me so I decided to stop and try my best to lose weight on my own but again, it doesnt work for me. then I decided to sign up for Y to work out every mon, wed, and fri plus soccer every sundays i do felt great then i realized i need to get back to Jenny Craig to lose lbs, instead gain muscle!! for the cruise. I hope I can keep it up after the cruise too..i gave up fast foods, soda and etc only Jenny Craig foods, water, excerise and soccer..yes, Jenny craig is expensive but worth it! it works for me! so good luck and keep it UP!!!!
 
Way to go, Katzie.. Take-out order is not HEALTHY! Remember, eat at home and it will help you to lose weight. Eat salad with croutons as topping, or chicken on toppings, it will help you.. Salad will make your stomach full.. Don't over eat. Llike, appetizer, then salad, then food, and then dessert.. :nono: NOT GOOD. If you want to lose weight fast, you must eat little portion, like 1 plate with little green beans or broccolic, corn the corn and chicken or pork or steak, and a bowl of salad, and glass of water everyday, that is healthy. No 2nd round or 2nd plate.. eat your first plate and salad and then you are DONE.. No more. If you are addict to have dessert after dinner. why not have some jello or angel food. It has no calories in there.

If you are at work, and forgot your lunch.. that is okay.. Stop at Subway's, you can order low fat sandwich or salad but NO mayo, NO dressing, or NO OIL and VINGEAR. Just plain. Your stomach and fat are burning. It is like you have a pellet woodburning or coal fireplace, you feed pellet/coal and they burn fast. Same thing with salad in your stomach. If you are eating junk like from fast food, it will slow munching and you will gain weight. You have to treat your body with a healthy food and drink a LOT of water that your body need the fluid to get out. For breakfast, don't skip.. Eat some grapefruit, oranges or apples or oatmeals, (oatmeals is good for heart), Cheerios or Special K with skim milk. It will fresh the body.

Gee, I look like I am a physical trainer? :ugh:
 
Right on Mrs. Physical Trainer! In the morning I eat 2 egg whites (minus the yolks *wahhhhhhhhhhhh!*) and half of grapefruit *sucks lips*. Mid morning snack 1/3 of tuna and an apple. Lunch 2oz of chicken, a cup of veggies and 1/4 rice. Mid afternoon snack 1/3 of tuna and peach. Dinner, 2oz of chicken, 1/2 cup veggies and 1/4 rice or small potatoe. Late night snack, 1/2 cup of strawberries or pineapple.

Two days later... I WANT THE DAMN PIZZA!

Hubby says, "no, you can't because then you'll never forgive me."

Well, I usually have cereal, skim milk and orange juice in the morning and then gulp down a cuppa coffee.

Lunchtime is leftovers, fruit, veggies and fat-free chocolate pudding.

Dinner is homecooked, mostly vegetarian. I usually have a fat-free fudge bar for a snack.

I gotta have my chocolate one way or another...

I do not use frozen dinners very often, only when there are no leftovers to be had for lunch. And then it would be Lean Cuisine, Weight Watchers or Healthy Choice.

Look at the label on Cruisine and Weight Watchers pizza.. See how many calories... If it said 150 for 1 little pizza, that is too much, you can't add more calories. Your limit for 1 day to lose weight is 3,000 to less, you will lose weights. If you ate foods that all together over 3,000, you will gain a pound.

I had to watch all the labels all the time. Calories is how many sugars, salt, oil, etc, and be careful what you are watching those calories a DAY!.. Like for example.. you ate Granola bar, skim milk, egg for breakfast, tuna sandwich, water, jello for lunch and pork, green beans and brussel sprout for dinner and angel food cake for dessert, all together for almost 3,000 calories, almost all have 0 calories and some have 50-300 calories. Just watch for it.

If you ate McDonald's sauage, eggs sandwich for breakfast, chinese food for lunch and 5 slices of pizza from Pizza Hut ot Papa John, it will run up to over 3,000 calories and you will gain a pound or few pounds. :eek: That is way too much.
 
Lean Food, Cruisine & Weight Watcher tv dinners are okay, but you cannot have another one. Like you want more of those tv plate, you cannot get more.. You open and then put in microwave or oven and eat them, it mean you are DONE.. That is SMALL portion ready for you. I always buy Weight Watcher for my lunch at work, cause I don't need to eat that much foods. Work keep me busy and it is part of exercise like stand up, sit down, walk back and forth.

Drink a LOT of water and you will surprise how much you lose in 3 weeks if you try small portion on your plate for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and eat some low fat and no sugar for desserts like jello, no calories cake, etc.

I love food...I can eat all I want in a small portion...I lost 30 pounds in 4 months since Feb 2005...All I have to do is excerise and burn fat in my body...I have to have heart rate of 135 and above to burn fat while I am excerising...I walk for 1/2 hour, bike for another 1/2 hour and swimming for 15 to 20 min everyday...I burn approx 150 calories a day...I am sweating alot everyday while I am excerising...I quit smoking on Feb 2005...I want to change my new ways and find it very challenging ...I refused to go on a diet LOL...

:applause: :thumb: :applause: GREAT FOR YOU!!! Keep it up and reach your goals for good healthy and your dream to fit in your favorite clothes, size 8, 10, etc.. Keep it up and it would save your life.
 
:shock: as of today I've lost 10 pounds in 10 days now.

I have eight to ten more pounds to go. *sigh*

My brother just opened up his underground swimming pool few days ago and you see why I gotta lose some weight so I can look good in my bathing suit. My hubby will be taking pictures of my daughter and I in the pool. Now you see why I have to lose *SOME* weight!

How's everyone else doing?

LMFAO... I know how exactly you feel!

I'm a sucker for pizza, too. But hubby is just as bad! He'll go like, "Uh.. no? Well, you should have more willpower!" And then he scurries away in fear.

He is not that concerned about my weight (likes that butt and dem globes, go figure?).. he's more worried that I see myself as a worthless person because of the weight (thanks to my childhood programming, nothing personal reflected upon anyone else with same weight issue!!), so he's trying to "train" me to let go of that unhealthy association. I can see his point.

Although I did stick it out with South Beach Diet for a while, and lost about 40 lbs. I really learned a lot from SBD! I just need to work on my self image. I think that's more harder than losing the actual weight!

Argh. I have that appointment with Bailine tomorrow, hopefully it goes well! It provides therapy for the mind, too. Perfect, eh? http://www.bailine.com

Im with you on that! I have a very poor self image and that is harder to crack than actually losing weight :(

Congratulations on losing 40 pounds! You must feel better, health wise? I feel the same way because the fat I had was stressing my body so much. Your very fortunate that your husband loves you for who you are and what you are, too. Some men want women with a perfect 10 body. :sure: For crissakes get a barbie! :roll: I like men like your hubby and (mine, too) who doesn't think that way! Having a little extra meat *slaps ass* is goooood. ;)

Some people thinks I'm nuts for dieting, but I have reasons because my dad is diabetic and I have 50% chance getting it. Thyroid disease like I have do have other risks like diabetes and high cholestrol. I don't want to gamble my life like that, ya know?

There's one Bailine in United States and that's in Washington State? :aw: Looks interesting and I hope it works for you. You've been through a lot because you're on the other side of the world and living in a complete different culture and your family and friends are here in United States. That has to be tough. Keep me posted about Bailine! Good luck! :hug:

I am on Michael Thurmond 6 weeks makeover. I eat six times a day with the right portion of meal and drink water to flush it all out. At first I laughed and said yeah, I'll bet my ass that I'm going to gain 20 in a week, but I actually lost 5 pounds in a week. 10 pounds in 10 days.

Also, I go to Curves three times a week for 30 minutes at a time.
