GalaxyAngel, if there are any in Canada, you can buy one of those thermal bed heater....you know, this blanket has a control that warms it up to your liking, and you and your hubby can sleep under it in your bed. :) I used to have one of those and it kept me toasty during winter nights while I sleep. :)

I am surprised about the fireplace, I thought most people up north have fireplaces, especially in Canada where it is closer to the Artic. :) My apologies for sound like I have a sheltered life, but I have always thought Northerners have fireplaces since it snows up there. ;)
Maybe you and your hubby can get one for your house one day...and to be kept warm there too. :)

Nancy,

I was relaxing til my cat want to go outside. So I tried to open the door but it wouldnt. That darn door knob locked me in the house. I struggled for about 1/2 hrs and finally got it open. I took the door knob out of the door so I can bring it with me to Home Depot to replace it. Oh yea I cover the hole with duct tape so I would get cold from the weather. Oh dont worry I can open and close without using the knob but I do have deadbolt so I can lock it when I go out. :pissed:

I will let you all know how it went once I get the new door knob.

Was it an old door knob is that why the door wouldn't open? At first I thought maybe because the door was icy, It had happened to me before, I live in an old house build in the 50's or 60's and all doors are old fashion, One time the door wouldn't open, You could see ice all around the door. I had to get a silverware knife and chop all the ice around the door in order to get my door open, finally it opened. :giggle:

Glad you got your door knob replace! :thumb: It isn't easy for single mom chicks huh? ;)
