Great Movies You would Recommend Others to Watch

List any great movies that you would recommend others to watch. It can be Action & Adventure, Drama, Horror, Children & Family, Comedy, Romance and Sci-Fi.

Please stick with the topic, no off-topic posts, no bashing or flamming on this topic. Thank you in advance. ;)

I would recommend:

"A Cry in the Dark" (1988) This movie is based on a true story.

"Notebook" (2004) This movie is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. It's a romance movie.

"No Reservations" (2007) It's a romance/comedy movie.

Boys Don't Cry, a based on true story about a transgender boy. Reason recommended: Really inspiried and shocking story.

Animatrix, an anime movie based of The Matrix. Reason recommended: Many things that you don't know about The Matrix, such like how the Matrix world existed, how the Matrix work, etc etc. This movie is like a "Matrix's Bible".

Natural Born Killers, a road trip movie based on two murders. Reason recommended: Much of visuality based on the nature, violence, emotions, and evilness. Also its history and the movies that it copied from (Badlands, and others) are based on a true story. Also this is the movie that two boys watched and shoot in the Columbine High School.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (all modern series), a free unarrested and disease on face murder using the chainsaw to kill people and use their skin to rebuild the murder's body, also inspired by a true story. Reason recommended: So dramatically and fear, plus extremely violence!

Seven Years in Tibet, two foreginers who became prison in India also came from the Europe, and escaped to Tibet, they are Tibet's first foreginers and also it happened during China taking over the Tibet. This is based on a true story. Reason recommended: Show many things in Tibet that you will not see today, which is now in China.

Yep, that's a good movie. I would recommend this for people who have already seen The Matrix. Some prequels are best watched after the first movie came out. ;)

Ever see the director's cut? Boy, it was more gruesome than the original. ;)
 
Hmm... I've seen so many movies that I can't think of one at the moment.

If I were to start watching something right now, it would be Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. :)

That is one of the best movies, in my opinion.

I will compose a list of movies to watch when my mind is not drawing a blank like it is now.

One I can think of is "The Unfaithful".

Yupp agree, it's better to watch The Matrix 1, 2, 3 before the Animatrix.

I own a DVD of that movie, It's indeed a very sad story. I would recommended that to others as well too. :)
 
I also reccomeed Count of Monte Crisco, awesome movie, I watched it like 5 times already
 
Top Gun is the best all time movie for me.

Another good example would be the Ringu series. There are 4 of them... Ringu, Ringu2, Ringu 0, and Rasen (aka Ringu 1.5). They were made in this order. I suggest you watch them in this order as well. Even though Ringu 0 is a prequel to Ringu, it would spoil Ringu and Ringu 2. Rasen is interesting because it looks at the curse from a unique point of view. ;)

Did it have the part where they beheaded the TV journalist and stuck it on a stick?
