Google's Browser Arrives Tuesday

I am using Chrome at this moment to read and post in AD while using XP not Vista on my iMac Intel using BootCamp

Not bad, of course still beta... it is good to see more of webkit based browsers showing up in browser landscape...

I just did it but it would not let me log in to AllDeaf.

Maybe after I restart?

I had no problem logging in Alldeaf on Google's Chrome browser. I think there might be something preventing you from getting in. What about the firewall setting??

I turned off firewall on Computer Associate Internet Security Suite but leaving Antivirus and AntiSpyware on. I turned on Windows' Firewall on (it may be basic but better than nothing). I had no problem getting through.

Same here

Update: Finally the scroll issue was fixed. What happened was I updated my mouse's drivers by going to the Microsoft site at Software Download and now everything works the way it should. Using Google Chrome now! :)

Think twice before using Chrome's "Most Visited" feature!!

Looks like that guy forgot to take off the porn sites in most visited...and he's owned!

Google, hurry up to work on Chrome for Mac, I can install on my MacBook Pro.

No way for Google's own web browser. I prefer Firefox! Firefox FTW!

Did you tried that program?

It's NOT same as Firefox due combined of code from Webkit (Safari) and Firefox.

I love Chrome!

Chrome is using the SAME web engine that Apple uses for Safari so you're not missing out much.

Performance-wise, it's way much faster than IE!

But again, it looks beta. It's still a young browser with a lot of potential.

I tried Google Chrome. Good but not great as Firefox 3. I prefer Firefox 3 better because of security and useful add-ons I use daily.

Few things I found what Chrome lacks:
- No ad block or script block add-ons. They help protect my computer better from malicious scripts. Also I dont like flashing ad banners. They hurt my eyes.
Blocking them also help browsing much faster.
- Cant open all bookmarks in tabs at once. I often open up all webcomics everyday I start use computer.
- Cant run Runescape due to "no plugin found error" and I do have JAVA plugin installed. It run on JAVA engine!
- No add-ons. For example, Foxmarks backup my bookmarks every time I add new bookmark or make changes. Or FEBE for backup everything inside FF3 to zip file include the cookies and add-ons.

One more thing, I really love the new tab page showing my history. It sure makes my browsing easy.

If you don't want those webpages to be known, you need to go incognito window which hides you while you're in that window. Press CTRL+SHIFT+N and your history/cookies won't be saved to your PC once you get out of it.

This thread actually catch my eyes. Anyway.. I thought why not this give me a try. I did!

Chrome Browser is looking more simple, neat & plain. CB is fast loading like Safari browser. however CB is little fast LOADING browser than Safari. Does CB using mozilla/ gecko engine, isn't it running?? please correct me if I am wrong!

I am disappoint in myself that Chrome has lack of customize & change toolbar size. CB's option is very limit.

So I rather stick with safari browser I really admire! this might be for back up if necessary.. (who knows). I believing that Chrome and Safari browser will be more competition in future spotlight!

Google Chrome use combine of gecko (Firefox) and webkit (Safari) engine.

GC is alright to me but some bugs need iron out, can't wait until stable version release in later, I'm sticking with FF3 for Windows and Safari for Mac.
