Myself. There is only 10 screws at bottom of MBA and take under 10 min. It's easy replace like the spark plug for car, truck, and tractor.
I've done that on my Acer laptop trying to find out if I can swap the ATI 200M chipset to better one. I had to unscrew 20+ screws from my acer. It's alot of work BUT I couldn't even pry off the mobo from the upper shell!!!!!! I was afraid to do further to break precious mobo. I tried to look around to see if I'm missing 1 or 2 overlooked screws. I didn't see any so I assumed there are clips hidden somewhere so I just forget it and put it back altogether GRRRR!!!
MY laptop battery is removable from bottom using the slide lever that's it.
I sure hope that Apple would redesign that it take less screws to remove battery. Or slide out battery from side which is much easier to swap for fresh one!!. Wish Apple had common sense for travellers who don't have place to recharge battery!!
