Love this... from my friend Michael who ridicules conservatives by adopting their agenda:

I propose a complete and total elimination of all federal services and taxes. I propose a total elimination of medicare and social security. If a 40 year old woman must die of breast cancer due to lack of insurance, then so should the 70 year old grandma.

You get laid off from work and your 6 year old gets diagnosed with cancer, hopefully you and your wife are young enough to replace him with a second kid... that is if you get insurance back so that you can afford a second kid. If you cannot afford to feed your kid, they starve. As for our veterans, no more veterans services or benefits. You should be grateful for defending your country and stop being too lazy not to get your own benefits. This country owes nothing to anybody, every body owes their service to this country!

If you want clean water to drink, you should come up with it yourself. If you're too lazy and stupid to learn engineering, then you don't deserve a drink.

All schools should be run by corporations and their funding should come from parents having to pay for their kids education. If the parents cannot pay, the kids do not learn, and can go work the fields. There, immigration solved!

If your house catches on fire, screw the baby photos and the pooch, better grab that check book. No $400 deposit to begin putting out the fire, no services. Only lazy stupid people would let their house burn down by not affording fire services to keep it from burning down.

Every state should be allowed to have their own currency. Anyone who traveled to Europe in the 90's will tell you how EASY and FUN currency conversion is!!!!!

Yep, but they should pay us back our money. If your gonna sit there and be like this, well right back atcha! Conservatives don't have the problem with the healthcare for all bit, just the mandate to pay or be jailed bit. Two: think about all those people who abuse the healthcare system?

That is where the community steps in! People have hearts, they donate, give help, provide transportation. So on and so on. Nice try buddy, but the young couple will have help, if not from the government then by the PEOPLE!

It's a survival thing, you boil water. Build a fire, put water in a pot, and boil then let cool. I'm not a rocket sciencist but I know this and would teach it.

Parent do pay for the kids, it's called fee's. Two there is always home schooling.

My mother had medicaid through charity - yes, charity help pay for medicaid for women with breast cancer, at least in my state, they do - She did not have insurance when she had breast cancer. Unfortunately, it didn't save her. And as advanced she was (she was scared to go to the doctor for a long time.. scared to know what they would find), I think the gov't rather pay for hospice and the the doctors kept pushing hospice, but she wanted to give a fighting chance.

But anyway, the gov't purpose is to cut back unnecessary treatments, and my mother's chemo treatments would have been one of it because she was already advanced. She had aggressive breast cancer - inflammatory breast cancer. Your example is a bad one because the next thing I probably hear you say we shouldn't try to prolong people's life.

I am just curious. Why is it that supporters of Obama's health reform refuse to acknowledge all the other programs already in existence? is it so they can make republicans look like evil murderers?

Just a genuine question .... why leave out all the other available programs already in existence. It almost seems like the propagandists want people to believe that Obama is some sort of a Saviour of the world or something. Don't they know people can see right through the rhetoric?

Conservatives don't want to get rid of all taxes and services. We prefer a Fair Tax. We support streamlining thru cutting out fraud and abuse.

If that's the case then please pay back the over 40 years worth of "contributions" I made to them, plus interest. Then I can afford to get my own medical insurance and retirement plan.

If the 40-year-old woman didn't have to pay such a big chunk to SS and Medicare every month, she could have afforded medical insurance. BTW, who came up with the idea that mammograms should be delayed until age 50?

I've never heard any conservatives begrudge anything to veterans.

For your information, veterans' benefits aren't charity. They are part of the compensation package that is calculated into their pay. Veterans earn their "benefits."

Private schools do have a better success rate, and parents do have more control over their education.

Did you know there were public schools before there was federal funding or income taxes?

no. it's because those millions of uninsured people do not qualify for the programs like Medicaid/Medicare. You must be either poor/disabled or retired. Rich people can afford it. Poor people get the support. What about the middle class who can't afford it or got screwed by health insurance cuz of pre-existing condition or some other bs? That's what this reform is about.

But, alot of what they kept beating us to eath with is children children children. Yet we have CHIP already and most states go beyond CHIP for those that don't qualify. I showed this to Foxrac. The other day. In his state and mine it is hard for a kid NOT to be covered.
 
My dad did have a job, and he did support my mother finanically, but he have VA and she could not be included. i don't know why dad didn't apply for insurance for her at his work, but that's what happen. I don't know this classified as middle class or not, but oh well. I do know that the middle class will have to make sure they pay for insurance now that this bill have passed and I don't know how much better they will be than they are now.

the poor/disabled/etc have already qualified. And i thought preexistent are qualified for SSDI or SSI I know my ex-bf had preexistent condition - crohn's disease and he was qualified for it (he was on it because he was unable to work anyhow, he kept getting sick frequently).

but yeah, preexistenting condition should be allowed in insurance.

I wonder if you know that some doctors will not accept CHIP insurance. Sadly, that's what I read.
 
I had not thought much about government having control of your medical records.....the thought of that makes me sick. (not lol)

Simply put, go to Iraq or Afghanistan or even Africa, if you want that life. That all, totally, destroys part of purpose of America.
