Georgia: English-Only Driver's Tests

there you go. transportation issue is SOLVED!

yeah, afterall people only live in a community who speak their language. All you have to do is get a transportation in that community and ask everyone to hope in for a job.

then transportation is not needed since the work are at the field. and owners drive them to local town regularly. beside - you think many would go to rural area? that was in old time. the socioeconomic has changed.... the jobs are in cities, not rural.

Old times..guess 10 years ago was considered old times?

There's alot of Mexicans are live in rural area and small town/city in my state, even there's no public transportation, they just get own car or ride on truck bed.

It has become more common in southeast states, including Texas.

Many of them does live in suburb with no public transportation or very lousy service.

I forgot to add about constructions too, some Hispanics are prefer to live in rural area or small town/city and drive to job in about several miles away.

ASL is not a written nor spoken language thus this policy does not affect ASL. Like what Lighthouse said... deafies do read and write in English, right? that's why many deafies have driver license now, right? This policy only affects the non-English speaking people.... not deafies.
Not necessarily. Not all deaf signers are functionally literate in written English. They do use interpreters to take the written drivers' exam.

No, he is just don't understand since he isn't resident in rural area.

You could ask me for any questions since I'm from rural area.

That's stupid idea about owners should do it for them, nothing is happen here.

We need farms to grow the food and other resources.

whatever happened to riding on truck bed? That's how owners got cheap labors

Your post don't contain any detail, how is solved?

you just told me the answer in your post #137. I'm sorry but has this country become an Accommodation State? we must accommodate everybody (not relating to disability)?

If they couldn't afford to get own car then go for it.

Our state does offers driver test in spanish language, that meet to their needs if they want drive on own.

some... which is SIGNIFICANTLY less than those living in metropolitan area... I guess beggars can't be a chooser. :dunno: Simple - they get what they get for living in certain area. it's their choice.

Not necessarily. Not all deaf signers are functionally literate in written English. They do use interpreters to take the written drivers' exam.

that's fine with me. That's why they are accommodated under ADA law. Are non-English speaking people handicapped?

Ok, I don't think our country need accommodation but I rather to offers driver test in different language as today, just need for their convince but English need be remain for education system and most of government level.

You said some... It does alot to me since some area are boom like build more new houses, companies, service and other more.

It's Hispanic's choice to live whatever they want to make comfortable, they are very common in rural area or small town/city in my state and many part of southeast states.
