Now I am a four-eye geek. My eye doctor prescribed me reading glasses. I told him I get blurry vision after hours of study/reading. He checked my eyes and said I needed glasses. Glasses- an indicator of old age. :(

Do you wear prescription eyeglasses?

I had to start wearing glasses in middle school. So young people can get it as well. Talking about worse time to get them. I would have rather get it when I am old than during teen years where there's peer pressure and everything.

Hate em, but can't live without em. I wear contact lenses as well.

I think having glasses is pain in neck especially if you are deaf. Sometimes in the morning people forget that I need to put glasses on before "listen" to what they got to say.
I was thinking like, "Why are you signing to me? I can't see!" lol

Sometimes, my dad have no patience and would just pick glasses that are near me and handle it to me. That actually helps because it's so hard to find glasses, if you can't see in the first place!

haha, silentwolfdog!

I do have prescription glasses, but I am yet to be 21... I have had glasses since I was 5 years old. But right now, I can see good on my right eye, and since 2003, my eyes hasn't gotten worse, it has been the same numbers ever since.

Btw, I hate contact lenses.

Just because you need glasses doesn't mean you're getting old. :)

I find contact lenses to be freeing.

Never worry about glasses getting in my way especially in the rain or swimming. I remember missing stand outside in the rain once I got glasses because I can't see afterward.

If your eyes aren't getting worse, then it is a lot easier since that means you don't have to change glasses or even be able to get a Lasik.

I can't because my eyes aren't like that. It continued to get worse each year. I have astigmatism and nearsighted. I hate astigmatism to death, it messed up the light. So light at the night bothered me so much especially those from cars or looking at screen in the dark. I dislike looking at TV or laptop in the dark even though it can be bearable. It's different in movie theatre and I think it's because light is not coming from the screen but from the projector.

Yeah, I wear glasses since I was 18 (Now I am 27) and I need new glasses since my glasses I have been wearing since I was 18 is crooked

You're not quite a nerd, booohoo..:) I been wearing glasses since I was 17. But, I guess at the time, I spent my school lunch hours in the basement studying quantum physics; being a dark basement it may have damaged my eyes..:)

And yes, as I drive down the country road, I can see Elsie the cow sunbathing in the field.

I wear glasses since I was 10. I also have astigmatism. I also hate driving at night because of all those headlights and taillights getting 'bigger'. I prefer to watch TV with lights out. I am thinking about going back to contact lens.

I have reading glasses too. I got my first glasses it was for reading at first but I refused to wear cuz I thought it was sooo ugly (I was like 10 lol) I kept getting new one every year even if I won't wear them and avoided reading all book at any cost lol then in middle school I started to wear it little by little, my eyesight got worse so they prescribed me one with bifocals on it and I kept wearing it then in 9th grade they "upgraded" my glasses because my eyesight improved from reducing the stress on my eyes so since then I have only reading glasses but not too strong that I can't wear on reg basis if needed (I get headache later in day if I don't wear glasses in the morning) and I got most attractive one I can find :-p (black plastic rectangle (sp?) frame) some people said it makes me look really good (or their actual statement usually are "you looked hot in those!" and intelligent lol
Send in real pic of you in glasses AB then I will post me with glasses on when I get home from visiting Massachusett, deal?

i wear glasses only for reading books and see the computer i have been wearing glasses all the time since monday because due of my allergy and i had itchy eyes and tireness in my eyes. it did stop a little bit not lot even it did less the headache i have.

i need to get new glasses soon ugh

Since I was in fifth grade, I wore glasses for near-sightedness. Because I have very dry eyes, I can't wear contacts. A few years ago, I got laser surgery for my eyes, so I don't need glasses for that anymore. But for the past ten years I've needed reading glasses for close-up vision only.
