"I was crying. My husband was in shock. For days on end I was crying."

Oh really?

Ms Williamson said Riley, now 20 months, had seen various specialists since the incident after suffering from anxiety and withdrawal.

Oh really?

Seriously though, it may had been a dumb thing to do. From what I read, they were playing a game. People were even laughing because it was pretty obvious what was going on. But still, people need to be careful with the consumers because they are sue-happy these days. I believe they are milking out of it as much as possible. The baby looks happy in the picture. If anything, it was the mother who traumatized the baby by freaking out.

People like her makes me sick.

Besides, according to at least one comment... it was the mother who instigated the whole incident. So it's obvious there is more to the story than we are being told.

Cheap family really should have just shelled out the cash and checked him with the rest of their luggage, extra fees be damned, instead of hauling him on as a carry-on. You can't expect to stuff everything at your feet these days like in the old days.

(seriously, though, can't remember a flight I've taken in years that had an empty OH bin with space enough for a toddler -- and I've flown everything from the worst seat on the plane in the last row to the comfiest -- this may just be a viral advertisement for Virgin featuring their roomy storage space)

10 seconds and the baby is traumatized? Like someone said...something smells fishy.

Natalie Williamson claims she, her 17-month-old son, Riley, and her now estranged husband were on a Virgin flight from Fiji to Sydney, when the flight attendant picked up Riley, placed him in the locker and closed the latch.

Virgin has admitted an incident did take place, but claims Ms Williamson's husband was playing a peek-a-boo game with Riley involving the overhead compartment when the flight attendant joined in.

yea makes you wonder why she's separated (or divorced)

How did the mother allow this to happen!! I would had decked the fight attendant if that was my baby!

I bet the kid will have forgotten the whole thing in a few months.

If his mom lets him.

My mom lost me in a huge amusement park for like 2 hours but I wasnt traumatized by that because it wasnt intentional. I am sure if the mother was sane, she would explain to the baby when he is older that it wasnt intentional. A dumb move, yes but not intential to do harm.

I have reasons to feel strongly about this ! I do not see any humor in this! What do mean it was not intentional , is was does intentional !

They were playing hide and seek, werent they?

Like I said, it was a dumb move by the flight attendance but I am pretty sure that she didnt put the baby there to "abuse" the baby. Just a dumb idea.

Silly lawsuit..... Hope they don't get a dime. Playing a game and someone took it a hair to far. Big deal. Nobody was hurt. Move on.

heheh, this reminds me of a story of mine. When I was a little kid, maybe age of 2 or 3 (can't remember, really) - I was at my dad's university, and I wandered around my father was looking for me, and end up finding me on one of the floors which was under renovations - and took me back downstairs with the group. It was interesting but I wasn't upset or tramalised at all - nothing was intention, but let alone a curious kid
