Felt so bad for Old lady who steal it at walmart!!!

Yeah, you would think!!...im surprised that the old lady wasnt
caught!...makes me wonder about that story, heh!!

Yeah who knows :)

From what I understand is that Wal-Mart had made decision about two years ago not to prosecute minor cases of shoplifting as long they are no more than 25 dollars. They are focusing more on the expensive thefts.

:jaw: u gotta be kidding!....ok then we will try to...ummm

Sorry, I has to disagree on this.

It would make minor think it's okay to steal, no matter either it cost $0.50 cent or under than $25, then it will make them addict on stealing more and more.

I'm sure Walmart have security cameras at ceiling to watch the shoppers and bust those shoplifters. Maybe they will review the tapes and maybe she will be caught one day? :dunno:

I was felt not good to involed with her and walmart so I thought that Walmart's security cameras and she will bust but didn’t happen?
:dunno2:

That's explains why the "old" lady got away with it. :giggle:

Aw Lieblingie over 50 cents?.. Seriously, I do agree that stealing is wrong, if I caught someone trying to steal a candy bar or anything that cost less than 3 bucks, I would probably pay for it instead of telling on them but at the same time I hope they realized what they're getting themselves into cause prison is not a fun place to be for anyone..

Interesting!! Thanks for post here~!

Guess that i cannot help that I felt so bad for that old lady! I let her go because I believe that she does not have money to buy a craft, but if I see her steal the pills, jewelers or other… Then I would tell the employment, but she was only taking craft yards to keep her enjoying.! :ugh3:

Sorry:D

:h5: Oh yeah, I would let her go to enjoy her craft since her retirment probably very low income per month. Government are very greedy !!

Yup, that right and let city or state to charge on shoplifter instead of store alone but shoplifter will be caught on random time.

The only time I would ever feel sorry for someone stealing is if they are stealing food because they are broke and hungry. I have no sympathy for any other stealing. In fact it's those thieves that cause the prices to go up for everyone else. No I don't feel sorry for this woman that stole yarn.

What RD said; otherwise a penny and a million bucks is the same to me. It is the INTENT.

Yes I can understand that teenagers make mistakes and learn to correct their mistakes. Normal :D

Yupp agree, it's normal for teenagers to make mistakes, but still they have to learn the lesson. :)

Yes, I would report if I see teenagers or people try to steal something like music, DVD, etc. etc. etc because stealing is wrong and unacceptance. Then they learn their lesson to correct their mistakes. They would continue to steal if I didn't report... I report mean is stealing must be stop before it goes worst!!!

Yupp totally with you!!! ;)

Wow, you got a criminal history, don't you? :hmm: No wonder, game boy games doesn't exist today.... ;)

:D

lol no felcony crime on my background records ;) Also gameboy games doesn't sell anymore is not because of me stealing, it's because the gameboy are outdated LOL.

I was sitting in my car, My husband went to 7-11. I saw a male who stole a beer. the casheir didnt see him. I told my husband to tell Cashier that I saw this male who stole a beer. My husband didnt want to tell. I begged him to tell Cashier. He did for me. The cashier was happy that I caught a male who stole. The cashier know his face if he come next time. I felt good.

Oh no, I personally would not report over that 50 cents but I mean about disagree with Wal-mat´s rule over under $25 what Brian said in his post. If they are being caught for stealing, then charge them no matter either they stole worth 50 cent to under $25.

I would do the same as you if I see them try to steal candy bar or little things and pay for them and then explain them positive way why stealing is wrong.

I personally don´t like humiliate the people over little thing but it would be different story... see the example of Puyo´s post.

Have you read my post about remind old lady?

Still... little by little... it builds up.

Let's suppose only 1 little $3 theft happens once a day. That's $1,095 a year ($1,098 if you consider this year). That's a lot compared to a measly $25 that they are worried about.

If I was working there and I caught her, I would take it away from her... tell her not to do it again... then ask her to leave the store.

Stealing is stealing, period. Stealing is a crime, regardless of the value. 2 wrongs doesn't make one right either.

I'm wondering how was the stealing item not detected at all? Wal-Mart (and any other stores) usually has a device set up at the door (I'm trying to remember what it's called - security alarm device? :dunno:) but anyway, when someone steals an item, the alarm will activate and make a sound noting that someone has stole an item.

Yeah, i know what you are talking about...the door alarm goes off if you
go out without paying for items..Walmart does not have that kind of
alarm and they should have those! geez...I know some stores have
them..i think K-Marts or Target stores do..I dont understand why Walmart
dont have them..but i know they have security cameras but i wonder
if they do catch shoplifters all the time?..cuz some of shoplifters are pretty
darn crafty..i mean they are so sneaky and good at stealing that the cameras
cant detect the stealings...heh.

Hmm, WalMart doesn't? That's odd because Walmart here in this town does have a door alarm (or security door alarm - regardless of what it is formally called ) Maybe your area doesn't have one yet but I know most walmart franchises do have it.

Indeed, some shoplifters are very crafty and they are able to bypass the alarm as well. It's just only a matter of time before they are caught if they were to do it repetitious.
