This late morning, After College class.... I went to Walmart store and at Craft dept., I am looking at crafts for my daughters.....

Guess what, I did see a nice looking a very oldest woman with crave her back and slower! :( Then somehow, I caught her steal the about 6 Yards put in her pocketbook! As a result, that I did not say anything. I was turned back and business my own! :dunno2: Consequently, I felt so bad her that maybe she cannot afford the yards. Ugh, I wish to pay it for her, but I was watching her and see if they re bust her but did not happen… She did walk out the store safety. :D Yay!!

However, curious if you saw an old person stolen yards or other… Will you tell employment or not? :giggle:

Peace.....

Since I work at Walmart. Let me offer another side. Stealing is stealing no matter what age is. I now take it more personally cause they are stealing from me too in terms of profit sharing. The more profit a store makes, the more the associates gets in profit sharing. So with that in mind, the more stealing happens, the lower the profits goes.

Also they are stealing from customers too (even you Phillips) cause as profits goes down, they have to raise prices in order to make that money back. If you want stores to keep prices way low, stealing has to be stopped.

Just my two cents.

Wal-Mart Associates don't earn enough to support a family

* The average two-person family (one parent and one child) needed $27,948 to meet basic needs in 2005, well above what Wal-Mart reports that its average full-time associate earns. Wal-Mart claimed that its average associate earned $9.68 an hour in 2005. That would make the average associate's annual wages $17,114. ["Basic Family Budget Calculator"

Stealing or not stealing. Walmart doesn't pay associates or employees very well.

Interesting!! Thanks for post here~!

Guess that i cannot help that I felt so bad for that old lady! I let her go because I believe that she does not have money to buy a craft, but if I see her steal the pills, jewelers or other… Then I would tell the employment, but she was only taking craft yards to keep her enjoying.! :ugh3:

Sorry:D

No doubt of that. However, it is a job. I'm glad to have a job in meantime till I can start college. especially if the recession really takes a hold. Any job will be good for someone that has bills to pay.

Understandable. I used to work for Wal Mart when I was young. The pay was lousy 5.50 per hour for night shift?!! So I decide to quit and work at Martin's food market which Martin paid me 7.50 an hr for night shift.

If I caught someone stealing I'll report that person. I'm sorry stealing is stealing doesn't matter if that woman is old and doesn't have a lot of money, I don't have a lot of money either but I sure don't steal anything. That's what life is all about, there will be struggle, there will be hard times, there will be tough times but it doesn't give anyone a right to steal. :)

So if you see homeless people strolling in food market and stealing food. Would you just walk away and ignore it?

It is dangerous because you re risking yourself to be "aiding and abetting" to criminal.

I understand, you just got a soft heart for the old lady, I understand how you feel. There is another way you could help like offer to pay for her yard, instead of her being haul in a police car for shop lifting.

Jeez...

Well, I have to tell you that about 15 years ago, my friend and I went to a fabric store and saw old woman stolen stuffs too... Ugh!!! jeez! !!!

You meant YARN not YARD...

You should report her no matter what. Even a kid or an adult.

Yarn cost only like 3 dollars, and that's not a lot of money period. I sure hope that they catch her for stealing.

I would probably report it to an associate and leave it up to them to decide if they want to tell the manager or not - in the case of the old lady.

But if it were a bunch of high school kids or something like stealing just be stealing - yead Id report it directly to the manager because likely theyve done it before and will continue to do it until they get caught.

But if it were a homeless person stealing fruit or a candybar and its obvious they are down on their luck, then yeah Id go ahead and buy it for them, and then direct them to the employment booth and say - you can feed a man for one day if you give him a fish, you can feed him for life if you teach him how to fish.

I stole HDTV from Wal-Mart, I put 32' in my under coat. And I was surprise nobody notice me. And I see little boy have been keep point at me.

umm.. no really, i'm bs.

Yeah, if I see old lady steal, I'll report, no matter. Because you know the moral: It's WRONG!.

Oops! :o :ty: heheh Its Yarn! sorry!

What she did was wrong. What if she figured out that you didn't tell on her? She will do it again. If you do tell on her later, she can say that you knew she stole before and said nothing. :nono:

Lol... Yarn, $3, oh please... Alot of my friends I know, tend to steal the 99 cents pack of gums!

When I was 14 years old, one day I went to a super market and stole 3 gameboy games and went to the city bus stop waiting for the bus to come by, but two men came to me and caught me. I was charged $250 for stealing 3 gameboy games, plus lied to the polices, also for being underage smoking the cigarette, but luckily that they change my charge to community service which I have to paint a wall at high school instead of paying the $250. Also what's the more embrassement is that the day is the same day I lied to my mom that I was sick so that I don't have to go school.

I was evil boy back there, but now I don't steal anymore, EVER, since I was 16 years old.

I recommend to NOT steal, steal is one of stupid kiddish troublemaker plan!
