Family friend in bad accident

I just learned that my good friend who I used to work with for 11 years- her son was in a bad accident around 2 am last night. :tears:

he was on the way home and the other driver driving pick up with trailer which contains pumpkins. somehow the trailer hit the truck and ran Jonathon's truck off the road. the details were murked but think truck was flipped over and that Jonathon was thrown out of the truck but it is unknown. More questions will be answered later as it is new right now.

Jon was airlifted in helicopter to Little Rock hospital. Right now he is in surgery. He is bad. :dunno2: if he will made it thru or not. As far as we know that he had many surgeries to correct like his leg bone which was sticked out and they put rod in. His kneecap is shattered. They fixed it. The spleen was removed. They fixed the broken artery behind his lung. His brain is bleeding. so many things wrong with him. :tears:

The truck is totaled. fender is off, the door is off, tire rim off and more.. Jon just got new truck last Thursday. This is not good. shit.

He joined Army few months ago and went in for basic training. He got back home not long ago to visit family and friends before being sent out to Iraq in few weeks. Now it doesn't look like he will go as he probably will get military discharge due to the accident.

I knew Jon as my mom babysat him alots of times as his mom and I always go to work together in same car then we go out to Jose's to party night away back in 90's. I am always the desgniated driver. sigh.

he is only 18. We need to pray for him to make it thru and hope he will recovers from this terrible accident. I hope and prayed that Tania- Jon's mom have the strength to stay strong and have faith that Jon will make it.

Please pray for him. I would appreciate it so much! Thanks. :tears:

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear about his horrific accident that he had, I do hope he makes it through and recovered too. I'll keep him and his family in my prayers.
 
Thanks. I forgot to add that Jon always call my mom - grandma as his real grandma died long time ago so considered my mom as his grandma. My mom is crying. Brandon- Jon's young brother-He doesnt have a father so 2 of my sisters and I adopted Brandon as our Godson. We all are very close. I am crying badly..:tears: I will be back later..
 
Oh I am very sorry. And pray him recovery from terrible accident I hate to know. Last time I remember your mom picked up the phone and said it was Jon. I know Jon loves your mom and hope your mom is ok.

May God save his life ! hopefully He can return his own life and you can feel better . Best of wishes !
 
I got the news a while back that Jon got out of the surgery. He is in a critical condition. he is sedated as he is in alot of pains too. Tania came in to see him few mins and said he look bad. :(

I can see that he is hanging in there as he is young and strong. Oh yeah mom didnt tell me earlier that the dr fixed Jon's intenstines too as it was damaged.

I pray and hope he will make it thru. :( He sure need alot of prayers and good thoughts of him making it. Thanks.
 
I am sorry about your friend Jon. I hope that he will be okay soon as possible.

Sorry heard about happen to him but hang in there ok as long you can be there for him also my pray for him :) i know it's hard for that since he is only 18 yr old as YOUNG man

I went to see the wreck site where Jon got hurt in the accident this morning. It looked bad. many pieces everywhere. Pumpkins all over the place as well. Wow. Jon is very lucky! dang.. could have killed him .. :(

He is still hanging in there. this morning Dr lessen the painkiller and he got agitated due to equipement all over him and tried to pull the intubae thing out of his mouth so they had to restrained him but when April, his sister and his mom- Tania called out his name Jon. he responded to them then calmed down.. thats great news!

Sylvia, family friend went to see him. he responded to her and signed hand up as he cant talk cuz he is intubated. then he got agitated again due to being in alot of pains so dr had to sedate him again :( but at least he's responding so thats great news! He is still in a critical condition. but the more time pass he will get better and strong again. With love and prayer he will be ok. That is my belief. :)

My mom told me yesterday that Jon isnt intubated anymore as he was awake yesterday but groggy. slowly now he is talking more. He even had bites of foods and drink water. The prayers have been answered! :)

I went to see Jon this morning. He looked bad as still swollen a bit with cuts on his head, face and is still in alot of pains. :( At least he is awake now and is talking so that is GREAT NEWS!!!! I am so happy to say that he is stable too! :) He is gonna have therapy and long road to recovery from this accident but knowing he is still with us is WONDERFUL news! :D
