Eyes Laser Treatment

Why?

Cuz eagle usually have good eyes - very sharp and crisp. It's like if it able make zoom in/out.

I am thinking about getting my eyes done this summer while I am visiting Arizona. I am tired of getting double-blurry vision.

im already blind in one eye and glasses are good enuff for me i know one day will be blind so i don't take anything for granted, if it ends up the fact i turn blind fully all i can say is thanks for the ( however many yrs of sight i had) and bless the memories i will cherish thru my time here on earth! the main thing is God made a plan, one of my eye was dying and was going to put me to an early grave but to prolong it i replace that with a protheisis, and im still here today, don't let LASER sugery try and pull u down listen to ALL the facts if ur still intrested but all in all, just do what U feel is best to do!

I'm also scared of Lasik treatment, but I think I would take the risk just so that things will be a lot easier for me in the end -- wake up in the morning and being able to see perfectly (no pawing around for glasses), and a lot quicker way to get ready (no more cleaning contacts, putting them in, readjusting if necessary, or digging them out -- Lasik would give me about 5 or so minutes of 'extra' time in the day).

And cost-wise... Waz, I would go for Lasik because it's more permanent than the 5-year contacts (why haven't I heard about this before), and the idea of having a specialist having to put in the 5-year contacts sounds kinda spooky too. Heh.

Go for lasik!!!! No more depending on glasses!!!!!!! Your healthcare costs will be a little smaller (that's a huge part of why lasik has been so popular) and I think the blindness risk is relatively tiny.

Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses (RGP)
Most economical, lenses replaced every 3-5 years, compared to disposable or planned replacement lenses. Average savings of Rigid gas permeable compared to Acuvue daily wear 2 week disposable is $150.00 per year over a three year period, savings includes initial fitting and lens costs. Usually our first lens of choice.

Rigid Gas Permeable lenses provide better visual acuity than soft contact lenses. They usually last 3-5 years, with proper care and scheduled contact lens checks. Are easy to care for. Best of all, they are generally are more healthy for your eyes due to increased oxygen to the eye. RGP lenses can correct all types of vision conditions astigmatism and bifocals. They even allow people with dry eyes to wear contacts.

Uhh, that doesn't mean that RGP can be left in the eyes for 3-5 years at a time. No way.. They're like contact lenses but would still need to be taken out regularly.

First of all, its not stupid choices...

My dad had his eye laser treatments twice one for his catracts and 2nd time he had his glasses prescriptions reduce.. he wore so thick glasses.. after he had those surgeries, he wear normal cute glasses.. he was very happy with it but unforunately that he only enjoyed them couple years before his death..

My sister in law, had eye laser treaments. She is very happy and dont have problems..

My 2nd mom had hers few times.. she is very happy with the surgeries..

I might have mine someday because i hate my glasses.. my right lenses are thicker than left.. so i dont want walking around with two funny looking lenses..

So, now days they are very careful and see better .. :)

I wish I have normal vision like when I was 15. But now pooh me have to wear glasses. But I refuse to consider Lasik treatment.

Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses are EVIL! I had them before and wasn't happy with them. They feel like sandpaper on the eyes.

if im already too chickenshit to take the stupid glaucoma pressure test then lasik would be even WORSE!!!! i wear glasses and thats all that will go anywhere near my eye balls!!! i had found out the patient has to be fully AWAKE for lasik surgery!! :nono: not for me!! i wouldnt even get contact lenses either -- the thought of trying to get even eye drops into my eyes makes me nervous!!!

my mom has had lasik surgery done and she loves it!!!!!! my sister last i knew was TALKING abt it but dunno what her final decision was

Sandpaper, eeww.... I'd rather wear glasses than
else just to save my own precious eyes.

I used to wear contact lenses but I usually
FORGOT to take them off before sleeping.
I already fell asleep so fast then when I woke up
I could NOT see anything very foggy
then I realize that I forgot to take them off, OOPS !!!
I finally could see things clearly few hours later
but I refuse to wear these contact lenses again.
My eyes are too precious more than anything else.

This is No Big Deal if people see me
wearing glasses sometimes.

I thought you're only supposed to get the laser eye treatment once in your life. More than that qualifies you as blind.

My boss has has several, and he's still as blind as a bat, if not worse. However, i do know a few people who have had it, and they're doing fine. Bill (my roomie) wants to get it done, but he's scared. He said a woman at his work told him after she got it done and the morphine wore off, she wanted to rip her eyeballs out. But after a day she was all right. If he did get it, i'd be with him all the way through, since someone's gotta drive him home ;)

Anyways, I think Lasik is a pretty cool idea. It relly depends on how brave you are, and for some people - how crazy you are. I, personally, would probably not consider having Lasik, but i only got my glasses a few months ago (damn beads!! hehe) But yeah.
