Hmm...strangely quiet.
That's because there's none. There's nothing to discuss. You're the one that claim that abortion is covered. It never said that.

Oops, I missed your post....
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THE SEC 246
SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED
4 ALIENS.
5 Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments
6 for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are
7 not lawfully present in the United States.

Does that mean that women who want abortions would pay for them fully out of pocket? That's because there's none. There's nothing to discuss. You're the one that claim that abortion is covered. It never said that.
Will the people who are covered be required to register? And then be issued picture ID's? Wouldn't they be denied service if they don't produce an ID at the service provider's request? The question is, Reba, there is nothing in the Bill that gives any provisions on how to ensure who they treat aren't illegal aliens. Or even the go ahead to request documentation to prove that they are here legally. Also, the bill prohibits any discrimination to anybody for health care, so that means it covers illegal aliens, too....
Does that mean that women who want abortions would pay for them fully out of pocket?
Are there any other procedures that won't be covered?
Reba and Kokonut, admit it, you're so brainwashed by the right wing extremists claiming that abortion is covered and that circumcision is required and that illegals will be covered. NONE of them are true.
If it's an illegal, then he'll have to pay. He's not covered. period.
The point is the bill doesn't include any enforcement mechanisms. According to the report, it leaves that up to the Health Choices Commissioner.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THE SEC 246

But you seem to fail to get the point - it made it clear it WILL NOT PAY for illegals. If they're illegal ,they won't pay.
It's that simple - it doesn't matter what enforcment is used.. it can be lax or stringent but the bill PROHIBITS paying care to illegals.
I never mentioned circumcision. I made no claims about abortion but only asked questions. There is no reason to get upset or be insulting.Reba and Kokonut, admit it, you're so brainwashed by the right wing extremists claiming that abortion is covered and that circumcision is required and that illegals will be covered. What does that have to do with my question about Obama's health plan?Since when did the federal government give money for abortion?
So the health care providers will have a way to know who is legal and who is illegal, correct? This is what I asked--will people have some kind of picture ID to prove that they are entitled to coverage? But you seem to fail to get the point - it made it clear it WILL NOT PAY for illegals. If they're illegal ,they won't pay.

Read the CRS report on ObamaCare's treatment of illegal immigrants | San Francisco ExaminerMark Tapscott noted yesterday that a new Congressional Research Service report is being discussed by Republican members of Congress. It says essentially that notwithstanding all the rhetoric to the contrary (including, most recently, that of Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.), there is really nothing in the House health reform bill to prevent illegal immigrants from getting subsidies from the federal government for their insurance premiums under the plan.
.
.
In its subsection on health insurance subsidies (known as "affordability credits"), HR 3200 does state, "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States." That would seem to solve the problem, but it's more rhetoric than reality. The bill contains no verification requirement or enforcement process for citizenship or legal residency, as exists for other federal benefit programs. The only verification required for the subsidies pertains to family income. Beyond that, as the CRS report notes, everything is left in the hands of the Health Choices Commissioner.
House Democrats defeated all attempts in committee to add an enforcement mechanism that would require proof of citizenship or legal residency for those getting subsidies.
for posting excerpts, Jillio - my mom said she thought it was a good speech but I missed it. No, I get that point. I could pass a bill prohibiting anyone from ever wearing pink shirts but if I do nothing to enforce it, what does it matter? But you seem to fail to get the point - it made it clear it WILL NOT PAY for illegals. If they're illegal ,they won't pay.
