Evel Knievel dies at age 69

Most folks around rough and ready Butte, Montana, knew Robert Craig Knievel, Jr., as "Bobby." There are at least a dozen stories how "Evel" came about, and Bobby swore each one was true. I watched him ski jump in Bozeman and play hockey in Anaconda, always pushing the envelope. I'm sad to see the notice of his death today, as he was always so full of life.

The last time I saw Evel Knievel was a few month ago he was on TV at the Chruch called the "Hour of Power" telling people about his life and how much he regret something in his life such as drinking and other issue. He was wonderful telling his life story and expression his mistakes from the past to the present. I think he was better man then he was in the past.

Sorry to hear... RIP

Robbie is still riding, right ?

Yep his son still riding last time I saw him a year ago he was doing a stunt for Criss Angel not long ago.

His father, The motorcycle stuntman, whose jumps over Greyhound buses, live sharks and Idaho's Snake River Canyon made him an icon, dies at 69. He suffered from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs.

I grew up in Butte and with the Robbie

I am sorry to read that .
They were a nice family

Yep, I've saw it on the news, I remembered the video clip of him jumping over live rattlesnakes :Ohno: He was more braver than I would ever be. :giggle:

It's was his time to go, he'll always be in our memories of the time he rode and jumped. Rest in peace.

I can recall the times I have watched numerous of his famous jumps--he sure could pull quite a crowd. Surely, he'll be missed, but not forgotten!

RIP
