Emergency Medical Bracelet?

Does anyone have an emergency medical bracelet that says deaf/hoh/ or anything else?

I use to have one that alerted i have asthma. Someone today passed out at my work and ambulance came etc. (i called 911) my bf said he was really proud of me:) but my co-worked said I should really have one since i am asthmatic and hoh...any input?
 
No. I never hear of deaf and hoh for ER's bracelet. I do use 2 different bracelets. It's one for my name and family doctor name, DOB, ER's date. And other red bracelet stand for allergy. I have allergy to medicine. The green mean diabetic. I never hear of deaf or hoh.
 
I used to have allergy and asthma alert bracelet. Lost it long ago.

I also never heard of one for deaf/hoh.

Yeah. It's a good idea. Moreso because you're asthmatic. If you should go unconscience as result of an asthma attack, it would be a wise idea to have the alert, so the responding EMTs know how to treat you.

My Mother has severe asthma and she has gone unconscience as a result of her attacks, so it can happen. I had to call the EMTs one night because she had an attack and lost conscienceness.
 
i have medical bracelet saying HI and also taking blood thinner medication and allergy to one medication and allergic to stawberries
 
Sounds good to have. Oh, and well done for handling the emergency situation. :)

I don't have any medical bracelet, I should have get one for asthma etc.
 
Good idea to have one not only for asthmatics but for epilepsy, diabetes sufferers and for those who like me cannot have anything done on a particular arm.

For eg; I cannot have any injections, blood tests or blood pressure taken from my right arm due to underarm lymph nodes removal (had breast cancer).

I am always forgetting to get a medical bracelet for myself. There are certain words that needs to be engraved on the bracelet.

My son has one that says "Deaf", and then lists his medication allergies (he has 5, and a dose of any one of them could cause death.) I ordered it because he didn't like the big old silver things that look like a dog tag on your wrist, lol. It looks like a man's I.D. bracelet, but it has the medical symbol in the corner so the EMTs or a doctor would realize they needed to look. He also carries a card with the same information in his wallet in case he were in an accident where the bracelet could be lost.
 
my late grandma have medical emergency bracelets for diabates and also my dad too

but my dad have different bracelets not same from my late grandma had it but i dont have medical emergency bracelets.

mostly old people need have emergency medical bracelets or necklaces whatevers they would chose it but my late grandma using bracelets till stroke.

yep i have teal medic alert symbol on mine and sterling silver bracelet

lol jillio but i have one just like the ones in military when i was kid
i do have card too that i carry in my wallet along with the bracelet i am wearing on my wrist

Yeah, that's the kind I first purchased for my son when he was a kid, but he kept taking it off 'cuz he hated the way it looked.:giggle: The one he wears now is sterling silver like yours, but his symbol is red instead of teal.

I think the card in the wallet as back-up is a good idea for everyone, because the bracelet or the necklace could be lost during an accident.

card is good as back up
red is perfect color for boys than teal :)
 
I never hear if they have the bracelet for hard of hearing and deaf. Maybe they will make one which it will be more easier for everybody? Not sure.

Once, I saw my ex boyfriend have two bracelets, one for allergy and one for seizure. It's very interesting to seeing that. Also one of my clients had a necklace almost like bracelet. But it tells that she's deaf, legally blind, austic and have allergy. It does help people if she gets lost in somewhere since she don't communcation very well.
 
I don't see why a bracelet for deaf people is needed. It's not a medical concern.

Allergies is a medical concern.

Diabetes is a medical concern.

Deafness is not.

You could have it put on your license. :)

We don't have that in ontario. There is only a condition place spot for if u wear glasses or not and they put an X under ur photo to signify u need to wear glasses to drive. We don't have one for deaf/hoh. I think it is a good idea to put it on a medical id it's not a medical concern but they can misjudge and think you are not responding because something is medically wrong but really u just cant hear them.

Thanks everyone for the input. I am going to see if my insurance will cover the medic bracelet as it is close to 100 bucks for it and i have really good coverage! lol thank god!
 
Never thought about it. But I suppose I should have a card stating that I'm deaf and my language is Auslan in case of emergencies.

Only thing I have in case of emergency is my blood type card and keychain. Everyone should have this, too.
