Dumb Question from a Forum Challenged Gal

I noticed that some threads are Sticky Threads or whatever it is called here.

What does that mean?
 
Ummm....Sticky is only given by Mods. If they think the thread is important for viewers to read then they would put Sticky I guess. Not Sure. LOL!
 
I think it means that thread stays above the others until one of the mods think it's no longer need to be above other threads....

Most of the time its about important thread or events that need to be aware of....

Like for Birthdays, if it is a member's birthday today, then they use the sticky to wish the member a happy birthday, or if a member is getting married, then they use that too....

I think, I'm not quite sure
