Thats understandable. i have to admit that it is hard to check all the way back in 2007. Sometimes i rather seeing the new one because we got new people with the fresh thread.

maybe it can be merged it into your old thread to new thread. :shrug:
 
I should since I'm A1 negative... but I'm too afraid of needles :( I already HATE going to do blood test... :(
 
i got blood from 3 blood donors for my surgery when i was kid. the donors that i have known for years, one of them i am related to, i hold them in my heart because they saved my life.
 
I'm A Positive and I always wanted to donate my blood but Never had the chance to do it.
 
Last time I tried to donate blood I fainted on the spot so they had to walk me to a different area. I was pretty upset when that happened. I wish I could just let someone drain blood out of me without fainting.

Genetic problems? As in a blood disorder? Never heard of them turn down a donor due to deafness or genetic disorders.

So if you do not mind me asking what kind of genetic disorder do they deny in donating blood?

I do know certain medication such as, if you are on antibiotics, they will deny blood donations.

I have donated blood once. It is not really so bad. They give you a snack. :)
and a T-shirt. And I am deaf.

I need to do it again and more often.
 
I'm A-.... so my option's pretty limited if I need transfusion
 
I've donated blood 3 times.

The first time I donated blood, I saw another guy pass out when he was about to pick what kind of drink he wanted.

The third time I donated blood, I got stuck with 2 rookie nurses who kept sticking needles in my arm trying to find my vein. The skilled nurse did it right. Then they forgot about me and got more blood than they should. The bag looked like it was about to explode. :Ohno:
 
I stopped donating because I got tattoo last year (they said after one year, can go back and donate again)

And now I am pregnant, I can't donate either. Darn! I am not sure when I can donate....maybe few months after birth? :dunno: I can ask and find out. :)
