I have bad experience problem with Directv last night when I watched WWE Vengeance and storm hit (very serious) in DC area and the signal has lost... Will they accept refund me some $$$ or let me watch replay for free?

Hard to say since it's an act of God. But maybe......

Was that pay per view? Usually DirecTV would give you free credit. I never had problem with DirecTV, and have no plan to close account with them. They are still far better than local greedy cable operator!!! I mean I save about 30 dollars a month on comparable service between DTV and TimeWarner! Also, have been with DTV for over 5 years and still loving it! PLUS Time Warner have more stupid policies than DTV does! For example Time warner prohibits 2 accounts per household! WTF what I have a roomate? That policy is truly money loser! Another policy, prohibits me from making an account UNTIL somebody calls in to cancel the account and move out first! That was my last straw with Time Warner!

Yes, They would give you credit if there was a storm in your area that cause the cable to go in "searching for signal" message. But, that is only if you rented something on pay per view. Supposedly if you only saw one hour of it, they give you half of the price off, if you only saw 15 minutes of it, they give you a full credit for it. It happened to me before. I love Directv, they're very understanding people. ;)

Oh one more thing, Call them and let them know what you've experienced. :)

Im a WWE Fan but i cant belive you ordered Vengeance Its $39.95!!! are you out of your mind?

No, I dislike Directv and Dish, or rest of satellite TV.

I like digital cable alot better, because no contract and more features than both of them though.

no i dont.. i only have dish network..

sometimes when storm hit.. always say.. SEARCH OF SIGNAL... so turned satellite off and watch something else on regular broadcast channels.. wait till the storm passed then turn the satellite back on.. sighs.. nothing new..

maybe one day it will change?? improvement of technology???? i sure hope so! :D

I sure hope you'd enjoy annual rate increase though the cable operator! DTV don't do that!

Since I live in an apartment complex with my mom and dad, I can't have DirecTV or Dish. I live in Alumni Village Apartment Complex in Tallahassee. If I own a house, I can get DirecTV, but I don't have $100,000 to spend! :|

Nah, you don't know about our cable companies, monthly bills are same every years though.

Your cable companies are probably screw up in your area so that why.

My apartment complex allows DirecTV or Dish...we are even allowed to attach them to our balconies.

Yea, that right because apartment companies are violate their rent law.

Not to change the subject,Which you rather have in improvement of technology? Hearing or satellite?
But did you know congress has passed laws against homeowners assn and apartment landlords preventing you get sattelite TV? The FCC has enforced it.All you have to do is put your dish up anyway. If homeowners assn and apartment landlord threatens to take it down them call your local sheriff dept and they be more then happy to talk the situation to him.Just like i heard on the local news the landlord threaten a person about his dish so sher called the sheriff dept after the landlord ripped off the wall.So the deputy told the landlord he must pay for installation and dish right now or youre going to jail.So landlord refused the deputy handcuffed him and arrested him for destruction of property. He yelled said ""well i own this property"".The deputy said even you own this property you cant take the laws into your own hands. So the judge order the landlord to pay for dish and installation charges plus a $200 fine. So Grayson,If your landlord gives you any crap about putting up DTV just call your local sheriff dept.

At my old apartments in Minnesota we were never allowed to have satelite dishes at all. It was even stated in our lease rules. I was VERY surprised when I moved down here to TX, my lease said I CAN have satelite dishes, I can even put bars on my windows if I want, I can even put extra locks on my door if I want, etc. I can do a lot more here than I have in the past. I was :jaw:

That's true. The apartment renters at Alumni Village don't put Dish/DirecTV, probably because we are not allowed to put Dish or DirecTV in apartments. If I am going to rent an apartment, I'll gonna have to ask a landlord about that when renting an apartment. I can't afford digital cable ($63.45 or $76.45, plus $5.00 for HD), but I can afford $44.99 for DishHD Silver.

Nahh, I always depend on matches, if all good such as during WWE Vengeance, 5-on-2 handicapped match, Spirit Squad vs DX, ECW Rules Lumberjack Match, WWE/ECW Championship, and Triple Threat Match for WWE IC and I must watch... If lousy matches, for example SmackDown! Brand and I wont pay their PPV... Plus my few friends live nearby my home who likes to watc WWE, so they pay me PPV charges...

Yea, I called DTV and they gave me full credit cuz I almost missed all matches of Vengeance PPV (roughly 2 hrs out of 3 hrs event)... I wonder if I add mini house for satellite dish and it will works during bad storm?? Haha!

Sure! That is Time Warner and the only cable operator in this area. They did ask me why I don't have cable tv. I said because I LOVE DTV!!! The reps said, well, we offer what DTV don't offer, my response to this reps is... Yes, that is right, and that Time warner offers annual rate increase which DTV don't offer. That reps GULPED!!!! She then became speechless and I said have a good day, bye sk. That is it. LOL I laughed so hard.
